Hello fellow vapors!! I am new to the forum. My name is Gerema, I am 29 yrs old I mean young and I have been vaping for 1 month and 18days!! No analog slip ups so far My vaping venture began after my husband and best friend suffered a heart attack at the young age of 39. We decided it was time to get healthy, change our lifestyle and fight for life!! He had 3 stents put in his heart and this was enough to scare him straight!! He never touched another analog again!! I on the other hand took a little longer to quit. But after being teased and given the nickname "stinky girl" lol I decided it was time to join him in this vaping venture!! I haven't regretted that decision once!! My family has a strong background of Emphysema and on my Mother's side Alpha 1 deficiency which is an auto immune disorder which attacks the lungs usually in your 30's. I never met my grandmother due to her passing away at the age of 36. All of these reasons have led me to my decision to quit smoking and start vaping!! Now I can happily say it has been my experience that my breathing has improved tremendously and I will forever be grateful to the creators of this wonderful option!! So that's my story and I am grateful to have the prvillege of soaking up all the awesome knowledge of you veteran vapors and get to know you as well

Welcome J'sgirl - Well done for getting off the stinkies. Sounds to me like it's actually crucial you get off the analogs (both of you). Good thing about vaping is like all you're giving up is the bad stuff. And the killer stuff that you get from analogs.

Taste - breathing - energy levels - power will all gradually come back to what they would have been before you smoked. And of course your husband wont be able to call you stinky no more....lol

Never noticed how el-grosso that smell was until quitting! I've been reading alot on the threads before I decided to post and I have to say, you all seem like family and so nice and welcoming! Yeah i have to agree - el grosso with a capital "L" .

I had a chugg on an analog a couple of weeks back and .....man..it was deeeesgusting. It totally overwhelmed my mouth in a way that i don't recall as happening when i smoked. I couldn't have had anymore chuggs if i had wanted to. El grosso.....great term.

Lol at first I started vaping some crappy knock off 510 & thought to myself Oh no this is not cool, not cool at all!! I thought I don't care if I stink I can't do this lol, but have recently kicked it up to a 5volt mod!! Whole new level!! Very happy girl now!! And now there's definitely no turning back to the "eL grosso's" giggle

Yes!! So very nice. I really think it's the most polite forum I've ever seen in my entire life!!! Everyone is very respectful and I've never desired joining a forum until ECF! Not only is everyone nice but WOW the genius ratio is pretty high around here!!

I certainly don't fit that category either, but thankfully there are enough real geniuses here that are exceptionally willing to share their knowledge...that's part of what keeps me here. Well, that and the sense of nurturing, belonging and camaraderie. And this site is not just dedicated to those seeking or imparting wisdom either. There are some wonderful areas that you will be able to join when your post count is up a little, that are even better than therapy. But I've found that most all of the threads I've read so far have been therapeutic in some way or another. And if you ask for advice, be warned: you may become slightly overwhelmed by the spirit of giving/helping and the enthusiasm in which it is given. There is no place like it!

Oh right. I already posted to Jermwhet. He's modding up and everything. How lucky you are. You'll be getting custom made vapers from your partner. Although you're probably something of a guinea pig too. I can picture it now "here you are love try this one".
If he passes you one to try and runs off. Don't vape on it. Or at least excercise caution.....lol
