► Hellvape Dead Rabbit 4 RTA; Introduction:
Hellvape continues to relentlessly improve its Dead Rabbit series. The new Dead Rabbit 4 RTA uses thicker and more robust construction materials. The build deck features 48 holes to maximize cloud production. Furthermore, the coil build space has been increased to 13mm, making it even easier to build. The Dead Rabbit 4 RTA maintains a top-to-bottom airflow path to ensure a 100% leak-proof system. The refill system is as simple as it gets, featuring a securely locked slide that prevents accidental opening. My two samples for this review came with an additional bubble tank and the classic straight tube. The straight tube appears to be polycarbonate rather than glass as stated in the specifications. It should be noted that the versions I own are "samples" and are subject to future modifications. The user manual also mentions a possible PRO version, which would also feature a metal armor to protect the tube glass. We'll see how it develops.
    Enjoy the read.

Naturally, when choosing to use a high-powered dual-coil RTA like this, it's important to pair it with dual-battery mods that can push it to high power and provide the user with a good reserve of energy. In this case, a great pairing with the DR4 would be the Centaurus BT200 mod I recently reviewed. However, I won't push the power too far, so I find the Dead Rabbit 4 RTA pairs very well with simple and easy-to-use 21700 mods. In the image below, you can see the Dead Rabbit 4 RTA with a straight glass tube (3.5ml) installed on an Innokin Kroma 217.

► Hellvape Dead Rabbit 4 RTA; Exploded view:
The tank is completely removable for thorough cleaning. The threads and various joints are well-crafted, as usual, and handling this tank reveals a high-quality structural sturdiness, in keeping with Hellvape's finest traditions.

► Hellvape Dead Rabbit 4 RTA; how it's made:
After some graphic changes, the dead rabbit logo returns to proudly display on the central one-piece structure. The careful construction of the Dead Rabbit 4 RTA is particularly noticeable when the top cap is dismantled and separated from the underlying one-piece intermediate structure. The top cap uses a large O-ring and a white silicone gasket to perfectly seal the refill area. Both of these elements are replaceable and are included in the spare parts package. The airflow adjustment ring adjusts the two large slots underneath, which are fed through various patterns; holes, circles, slots, and pentagons allow for unique adjustments, promising multiple and artistic airflow settings. The base features a slightly protruding adjustable 510 pin.

► Hellvape Dead Rabbit 4 RTA; Refill:
The top cap is a sliding one and is marked with an arrow. The slide is well-braked to prevent accidental opening. The refill slot is sized correctly for most e-liquid bottle tips. The Dead Rabbit 4 RTA with the straight tank can hold up to 3.5 ml of e-liquid, while with the glass bubble tank it can hold up to 5.5 ml.

► Hellvape Dead Rabbit 4 RTA; AFC System:
The ring is equipped with rotation stops and appears precise and well-braked, maintaining the set adjustment. Unlike its predecessor, the new Dead Rabbit 4 RTA features a new design for the AFC TOP adjustment ring, which, as we saw previously, features various geometric airflow patterns to adjust the two underlying, large, opposing slots. The new AFC Ring design allows for ample airflow for deep DL draws but also offers good airflow restriction for RDL. The postless deck has increased the total number of holes from 32 to 48. These 48 holes are arranged partly in the center of the deck and partly on the two large raised baffles. The internal airflow occurs inside the bell through two vents that compress and channel the airflow from top to bottom, before it rises from the sides and underneath the coils through the central chimney. The vapor then rises towards the coils and is amplified and corrected by the 48 holes on the postless deck. According to Hellvape's engineers, this step maximizes the airflow distribution around the coils for the best performance in terms of cloud consistency and flavor.

► Hellvape Dead Rabbit 4 RTA; Build:
After unscrewing the base and removing the deck, you'll need wire cutters, a coil jig, and cotton scissors. In the spare parts package, you'll find a flathead screwdriver, a coil tool, and two 0.37Ω Ni80 Clapton Coils. Here's where the simple build process for the Dead Rabbit 4 RTA begins. After cutting the coil legs to 5mm and inserting them into the appropriate holes on the postless deck, you'll need to do the following: tighten the screws, straighten the coils, activate the coils to eliminate any hot spots, and then prepare to insert the cotton snares provided. After installing the coils and inserting the cotton snares into the slots, you'll need to do the following: moisten the cotton snares with e-liquid, replace the deck, open the top cap slide, fill the tank with e-liquid, close the top cap, and finally adjust the AFC ring as needed. The build process is complete, now you can start creating dense clouds of vapor.

► Hellvape Dead Rabbit 4 RTA; Final Conclusions:
When a dynamic company like Hellvape churns out new products regularly and quickly, it primarily means the company is enjoying significant financial returns, and its numerous fans demonstrate this by maintaining high sales numbers. However, some vapers view this constant marketing push as a pointless frenzy devoid of innovation. Indeed, when a new vaporizer is released, it's first announced on social media, and in some cases I've read critical comments similar to the one above. Fortunately, over the years, I've had the opportunity to collaborate closely with Hellvape and personally know some of the members of this energetic company. Speaking with them, it's clear the passion that drives them and motivates them to continually improve, whether it's new releases or limited editions aimed at collectors. I also know several fans of the brand who have been collecting all the Dead Rabbit series since the very beginning; some have been vapers for many years, and some have only recently become vapers. Of course, older users started with the first Dead Rabbit series and continue to buy all the new versions, while new users buy the new Dead Rabbit and are so satisfied that they seek out even the older versions while eagerly awaiting the next atomizer. This is what happens when passion drives us! The Dead Rabbit 4 RTA may look very similar to its predecessor, but it has several improvements, starting with the structural sturdiness, thanks to the generously thick metal. The refill area is a throwback with a slide opening that allows for faster filling, and particular attention was paid to the mechanism to prevent accidental opening. Otherwise, the precision of the couplings and the finish maintain the high level of Hellvape's best products. The postless deck has increased in size by approximately 1mm and has received a revisited form factor with raised side panels to make room for a greater number of ventilation holes. This is all to facilitate building operations, but also to maximize vapor by hitting the coils with a wider and better-directed airflow. I find the Dead Rabbit 4 RTA to be successful in both aesthetics and proportions, whether using the straight glass (3.5ml) or the domed 5.5ml glass. I was also very intrigued by the hypothetical PRO version with glass cage protection that will be released soon, which is mentioned in the user manual; I can't wait to learn more. So all that remains is to describe my vaping experience with the current DR4. When it comes to rebuildable atomizers, I always like to test the original spare parts and any supplied coils first, because I believe this helps both the reviewer and the reader better understand the construction concept behind a new product. I therefore immediately installed the two 0.37Ω Clapton Coils by Hellvape made of Ni80, using part of the cotton snares provided in the package. The declared resistive value of the single coil is 0.37Ω, in fact, once the dual-coil build is complete, the indicated resistive value is about half, in my case 0.15Ω, but this depends on the cut length of the coil legs, and the Mod used to read the resistance. With a selected power of 60W and with the flow completely open, you get a logically open DTL vape, but not as open as with the previous V3 version. The current V4 appears slightly more restricted at the maximum opening of the AFC, but V4, in my opinion, is capable of providing less dispersion of flavor without penalizing the size of the clouds. Closing the AFC, the throat hit skyrockets and the heat of the vapor increases, but it is well managed by the massive construction of this tank. As with the V3, also with the V4 the inhalation noise is deep and calm, never annoying, you can hear the popping of the coils more than the hiss of inhalation. Ultimately, top-to-bottom airflow was handled very well before, and it still is thanks to the improvements Hellvape has made to the new Air Ring. There's really no need to convince anyone; everyone who knows Hellvape knows what I'm talking about. However, anyone who wants to get into DTL vaping and builds can do so with their eyes closed by purchasing the Dead Rabbit 4 RTA, a tank that delivers high performance and makes maintenance and various operations quick and easy, even for vaping novices.

Thank you to Hellvape for sending me the Dead Rabbit 4 RTA for review.

    Thanks for reading.
