Help - 808-D/901 Battery Connector is alunimum...how to connect pos (center post)?

How do you connect the center post to mad vapes 808-D/901 Battery Connector? For that matter the ground too? This connector seems to be aluminum (non magnetic) I have searched and searched here and to no prevail.
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried soldering to it? Nickle-plated brass is much more likely than aluminum, and that's not magnetic either.

I have had absolutely no problem soldering these with either rosin core solder, or silver solder and a tinning flux. I use a propane soldering iron though. Not sure how many watts would be required to solder it with an electric soldering iron.

I disassemble the connector first and tackle the positive and negative soldering separately. However, prepare to do some serious cussing when getting that silicone "grommet" back into the outer, negative terminal.

Wet it with a dab of PG, gently push it in with a toothpick, then hold it with a second toothpick while you remove the first.

Thanks. A friend of mine told me that it is possible to solder it without taking it apart. I have few extras to practice with. That silicone grommet should be able to take 500F without a problem.

I soldered my first connector before I even knew you are supposed to take them apart. Worked fine with no damage.
