Help a newb out with all this APV stuff

I have an Acrylimax on day two. Having switched from EGO type bats I found the menu not so intuitive but caught on after an hour. I understand the volt up and volt down, standby on off. I am trying to figure out the why and when for battery check.
I think that either the mod is wonky, or me not knowing any better. When I changed out batteries "AW 18650 2000 mah" it seems like I am burning everthing, first time on new battery. The charger is a xtar WPA2 II. Is there another adjustment I need to make on the mod? I have burnt everthing at 3.0v and I just can't see how this happens. Boge LR carts as well as Smoktech DCT 2.0 pre punched different juices from different makers. If I remember correctly, the voltage when I pulled the battery from the charger it was 4.3v but could be wrong. Now it is 3.9 only an hour later. My other battery is still charging and didn't seem to be a problem yesterday. I will try it tomorrow to see if it helps, but just thought I would see if I could find an answer today. Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
The Acrylimax, put together by Mad vapes, is the Zmax 1 circuitry in an acrylic shell basically.
It hits higher than the settings. LR cartos aren't what you want to use with this.
Also - it is a lot easier to use in watts power - Po in menu 7.
Start at the lowest watts setting at work up.

Here is a list which shows the Zmax 2 and Zmax 1 voltages at different settings.
Und sie bewegt sich doch! Zmax V2.0 RMS ist da.. » Mountain Prophet

Use Google translate to read it, but you don't need translate to see the numbers.
The black numbers are for the Zmax2, and are very accurate. That's because the Zmax 2 has RMS. The Acrylimax doesn't have RMS so isn't accurate.

On the right, under the blue headings, are the numbers for Zmax 1 in 18650 and 2x 18350. Those ones will probably correspond to your Acrylimax. You can see that for a 3.0 v setting on the Zmax 1 with a 1.8ohm cartomizer, it's actually putting out 4.6 volts.
The Zmaxs are not really designed for low ohm vaping, especially not the Zmax 1 - they pack power and standard ohm cartos work better.

Thanks for the reply. Stopped and got a Provari and some single coil standard resistance cartos on the way home, now all is good. The Acrylimax will now play backup to the Provari along with the EGOs.

99 R1100RT is gone but not forgotten. Cager took us out a few years ago. 05 R1200GS was the next victim of the cagers before that 93 K1100LT and a few other imports. Next may be another 1100RT or 1150RT The new ones aren't as sexy as the older oilheads.

Thanks again,
Mike
