you should definitely invest in a backup tank

if for no other reason, it's pretty easy to accidentally drop your device and break the tank

Pyrex is pretty strong but if this is a concern you can just purchase a replacement Pyrex glass piece for the protank mini, instead of a whole new tank. I use the protank mini and love it. I don't keep a backup, just extra rebuilt coils.

First, don't panic. ;)

My understanding is it's mostly the more acidic fruits, the citruses. Lemons, oranges, and such. I know blueberry and banana are fine. Especially blueberry. I'm nuts for blueberry. :) I've vaped tons of blueberry in all kinds of combinations and never had a problem. Haven't found a cherry I like (though cherries are second only to blueberries with me) but the ones I've tried didn't hurt the clearo.

Do watch out for cinnamon. Particularly "hot" versions. Like this one: Fire & Ice. I love the stuff. Could not get a coil head for my one all metal clearos (one of the polar vortex storms delayed every shipment that passed through Dallas, the biggest hub we got). So I bought a cheap CE-4 so I wouldn't risk my EVODs or CE5s (or 4+ or whatever they call 'em this week, nobody seems to agree on which is which :) ). The poor thing literally fell apart in about a day and half. So, yeah, "hot" anything, I'd use glass or metal.

I've seen some say wintergreen is risky but I "all day vape" wintergreen frequently. I've had no trouble. Same with spearmint.

Oh yeah, lately I've become fond of kiwi. No problems so far.

Anything acidic or "hot" seems risky with polycarbonate. But non-citrus fruit? I'm coming up on a year with this vape thing and I haven't had a problem. And I'm a fairly heavy vaper. I average about 6ml a day. A clearo wrecking juice is gonna show itself fairly fast. Like that poor little CE4. :)

Banana is supposed to be a tank cracker

I've never had a problem. And I pretty much always have a banana in rotation. I've a 20% Mount Baker banana, 50/50 and at around 9mg in an EVOD right now. I've used it in CE4+ (or whatever, the terms are different between one website and another, they're Vision 2.0 with replaceable, long wick coil heads... whichever CE that is :) ). Haven't lost a clearo yet. So... I dunno. I've read people say wintergreen damages polycarbonate but don't tell my wintergreen, it doesn't seem to know it's supposed to hurt the clearo.

Only one I've personally seen wreck a clearo is a "hot" cinnamon. But the only problem I have with non-citrus fruit flavors is running out. And I don't care much for citrus anything so it's not an issue for me. Do like the cinnamon one the new local shop does so I've either got to pick up a Protank or grab some new coil heads for the Vivi Nova mini (which is my only metal one).

I've heard the same about banana. Hot cinnamon will definitely wreck anything not pyrex or stainless. I know this from experience.

CE4's aren't horrible clearos, they're just not the best out there. I started out with those, I'm sure many of us did. Used them for about 6 weeks, then met my love Protank 2. I'm one of the few that have never experienced any problems that aren't "oops" moments.

My fave tanks:

Protank 2 (my fave)
Protank Mini 2 (I have 2 going)
Aro 2 (I have 2 going and really like these - same size as Protank mini and are pyrex covered in steel, protank coils fit it!)
eVod (I have 2, though they rarely get used anymore)
Aro (not a fave at all, big brother to the Aro 2)

I used to use Smoktech Pyrex tanks. I started getting flavoring that I didn't want and I am not the surest of why. I do know that when the tank gets warm (Arizona) the "dead" flavor seems to appear. I also have a few Protank-style tanks and they seem to have better presentation of the juice since they are glass. Still kind of tinkering with the temperature variable.
