Ok, been vaping for a long time, never really tried or experimented with liquids. Been getting adventurous lately. Went to local store I've never used before because they were having a BOGO free sale. I wasn't really crazy about most of their flavors but needed liquid. I bought a tobacco flavor and a mango. The tobacco tasted completely different when I got home. I am out of liquid and don't have time to let it steep. I also asked several times if their mango would harm plastic clearomizers and was assured it would not. I got home and the label on the bottle has a warning about using it with plastic. I only have MT3S clearomizers. How much danger is there if I were to experiment with mixing a little mango into the tobacco flavor ( as it has almost none). Would it still be hazardous to my clearomizer?
Thanks.

It might be hazardous to your taste buds..

Wife said same thing, lol! I'm a miser, so even if it tastes bad I will still vape it. Just really worried about my MT3S's ( being the miser that I am). =P
Guess I was mainly asking if another liquid dilutes the mango enough to keep it from harming the plastic?

There are a lot of good, inexpensive vendors online for juices; why not go that route? Also, some very good vendors for e-cig hardware; maybe you'd find and upgrade as far as clearos/tanks go...

I understand the miser thing. But you do save more money vaping that you would have smoking, so I wouldn't stress he initial outlay you'd incur buying hardware/juice...

I've unknowingly put a mix of a regular and a tank cracker in a plastic clearo (mostly because I didn't know the one was likely to crack things), and on that occasion it did not crack. I likely wouldn't do it again though because even if my tank doesn't crack, I'm pretty concerned about the reaction between the plastic and the juice that I'm inhaling.

as for the tank cracking juices .... I'd been vaping both root beer and licorice in my plastic iclear30s tanks for weeks before I knew there was even a tank cracking issue, and I'm going to be traveling soon to visit family so I haven't ordered any glass/Pyrex tanks yet. I don't intend to stop vaping my favorite juices until after the holidays, but I will keep a close watch for any discoloration or etching.

IMHO, I don't think the tank cracking is as widespread an issue as we are making it out to be ... but just to be on the safe side you might want to wear safety glasses when you vape until you can get some glass tanks.

I only meant that I am a miser in the sense that I will use the liquid because I am too cheap to throw it out. I intend to buy some Pyrex tanks, but don't have any right now. Because I am a cheapskate I didn't want to waste a perfectly good clearomizer experimenting, so I turned to the good folks here to see if anyone had any experience mixing a "tank-cracker" with another liquid in a plasbefore and had any problems. I do order liquids and equipment online and have an order in right now from a site selling 10mL bottles for 1.99, 30mL for 5.99, so on until end of month. It has not arrived and I was out and figured I would buy locally. Went to unknown place because of sale.

I used cinnamon in an EVOD and an iClear 16 for 6 weeks before I knew there was an issue. The EVOD shows no sign of damage at all but the iClear 16 had a melt down after I soaked it in alcohol and then boiling water. The alcohol caused it to etch and the boiling water caused the delrin tip to melt. The actual tank part survived. I think the combination of cinnamon, alcohol and heat caused my issue.

I don't have an MT3s or I would try it. I left orange sit in the same EVOD that I had the cinnamon in for 3 weeks and it didn't phase it at all--I have peach in it and am vaping it now--but different brands of flavoring could have different results. Most of the tank cracker issues I remember seeing were Vivi Nova tanks & iClear types (CE's). I don't remember any EVOD's. I also remember a few people who were making carto-tanks out of syringes so they could see the liquid level & because polypropylene (the plastic the syringes are made with) didn't have the cracking issue.

None of this really helps the OP other than, I'm a tinkerer and I would try it but I have backups for my backups.

I have occasionally mixed tank crackers with non tank crackers in plastic clearos with no long term issues. It's not something I'd do or want to do often because just because the plastic isn't visibly damaged doesn't mean the juice isn't reacting with the plastic and potentially offgassing... but I do it once in a while when I want to test a mix without vaping a lot of it (it's difficult to find glass/pyrex tanks under 1ml, and the bcc pyrex tanks I like tend to leak a bit when they've only got .5 ml or less in them). It's unlikely (but not impossible) that a tobacco/mango mix would damage your clearos over the short term, as long as you're not letting it sit in the clearo overnight.

For cheap pyrex tanks, check out pyrex smoktech AROs... they run about $7-8 a piece and work great. Do make sure you're getting the pyrex version though - there are non-pyrex AROs available that run $5-6 a piece but won't be impervious to tank crackers.

There are occasionally good deals on protank mini IIs on ebay or the online vape shops, too... ebay has a 2 pack for $22 here and myvaporstore.com has them for $13 and change right now.

(edit for obligatory warning that neither ebay nor paypal like vape stuff being peddled on ebay, so purchase from there at your own risk - but I know a lot of people who have, including a buddy of mine who took advantage of that particular deal and is happy with the product.)
