The site that I ordered my 510 from (dietsmokes.com) had no instructions on how to use the liquid at all, and neither did the instructions that came with it. It was really weird, how is anyone supposed to know what to do? SO I am consulting my fellow vape buds. I have a Joye 510 Scorpion with round tip black empty carts. Liquid is Cool Rush 18mg.
Please let me know if I am doing anything wrong. This is my routine:

-When I go to have my first smoke in the morn, I unplug by battery that has been in the charger all night. Question #1, is it ok to charge it all night????. Should you wait until the battery is completely dead at times so it will keep its' re-charge ability?
-I put 2 drips on the cart, and everytime I want a smoke, I put 2 drips on it. Question #2, Are you supposed to drip each time you smoke or "douse" it in the AM and vape all day on that until the flavor gets weak?
-I am changing my carts every 2 days. Question #3, what is the absolute longest you can use a cart for? Of course anyone would want to make them last as long as they can to avoid buying more and more!
-Cool Rush is the only liquid I've tried, Question #4, does anyone know a place to get samples?
-Question #5, do you guys suggest empty carts or pre filled? What's the difference?
-Is there any maintenance I should be doing to my 510 to keep it at it's ultimate? Do you guys clean yours or leave it alone?

Thanks guys for any info you can give to a new user. I was just laughing at this thread because it's like one of those things your friends email you to fill out LMAO......sorry for the length, but I gotta know how to use this thing! I'm assuming there are no instrcutions because you just have to find out what suits you the best, but there are still stupid mistakes a new user could make without your help!
PEACE,
Puff

Make sure that the cart filler material is level with the top of the cartridge. I usually get about 7 drops into a dry cart and can vape for a while before having to refill.

When you're filling the cart, if you get that little puddle of juice on the top, then take and stick a toothpick far enough down the side to pull the filler material out a bit until the juice flows down. Once that happens then stuff the filler material back in so it's flush with the cartridge and then top of with another drop or two.

Some carts take a while before they become absorbent.

I wouldn't advice letting it charge overnight. As far as the battery needing to be completely dead, no. Li-ion actually are prolonged if you don't wait until they are completely dead to charge.

You should fill the cartridge up completely. With that said I cannot for the life of me get my 510 to wick liquid properly. I have to problem with me m401 or m201.

-I am changing my carts every 2 days. Question #3, what is the absolute longest you can use a cart for? Of course anyone would want to make them last as long as they can to avoid buying more and more!

I've heard people using the same cart for upwards of a week and then either throw them away or clean them.

-Cool Rush is the only liquid I've tried, Question #4, does anyone know a place to get samples?

Many places offer a sample pack. Best thing would be to find a couple good juice sellers and see if they happen to have a sample pack.

-Question #5, do you guys suggest empty carts or pre filled? What's the difference?

The difference is cost. Most would recommend to fill your own.

-Is there any maintenance I should be doing to my 510 to keep it at it's ultimate? Do you guys clean yours or leave it alone?

I don't do anything other than making sure the battery and atomizer contacts are kept clean. Occasionally I will blow out my atomizer. That's it. I've lost 1 atomizer and no batteries since may.

As far as instructions included with your kit. Yes there should have been instructions covering the basics of operation. In roughly translated english that is.

Thanks, Stevo for taking the time to answer those, I really appreciate it!! You had said a couple times that I should "clean" things, like the contacts and maybe even a cartridge after 5 day use. You can clean cartidges????? Why buy more then?
What should be used to keep contacts clean, just a good wipe or do you use something??

You don't have to buy more, but you should replace the filler in the cartridges. Check out the cartridge mod sections and look for PTB or pyramid tea bags for the current popular method.

For batt/atty contacts, I just give them a good wipe.

Usually a cotton swab and some rubbing alcohol works perfectly well to clean battery contacts.

As far as the cartridge. The filler material can lose it's absorbancy( I know I dicked up the spelling) after awhile. You might be able to clean under warm water and pat dry the material and it be fine for another round. Or you might look into alternative filler materials. With that you might only need to purchase your choice of filler material and continue to use the same plastic shell.

Didn't refresh in time. OR ditto What he said ^

I carry my beautiful little copper 510 around my neck by a lanyard that's made for putting on your glasses. It's nice having the two sides of tight little rubber things to hold it snug.

Do a 'search' on pyramid teabags and surely you'll find someone demonstrating how to use them for your fillers. I find them very good for that purpose. (Would you like to buy some tea? :D)

This 510 couldn't be easier to use. I asked the same question about leaving the device on the charger overnight and they said with lithium-ion batteries you don't have to worry about them overcharging. I'm assuming they're lithium-ion.... I'm too new to know much more than this. But look at my stats below...I'm so HAPPY!

Good luck and have fun! (Check out the pear lung juice from Nhaler...it gets rave reviews here)
