I've been using DIY juice for a few months now. Recently I built an HV PassThru, and thus have been adding more flavoring and VG to some of my mixes.
The first batch seemed fine the first night, but the next day the flavor was nearly gone and replaced with a very bland almost burnt flavor. The smell of the vapor produced was rank and musty.
I know that cooking the juice can be an issue with HV mods, so I decided to do some troubleshooting. First with equipment - Changed out attys...same, empty carts (510 standard and cut short with razor in case of melting)...same, and switched to 3.7V batts...same
Still nothing, so I played with my juices. Previous juices seemed to work fine, so I started individually dripping ingredients. 36mg PG unflavored...good...pure flavoring...good...pure VG...blech!!
It's stored in a dark blue 30ml glass dropper bottle, so there's very little light getting to it. And my HV mixes have consisted of about 30% VG compared to 10-15% normally, maybe too much?
Has anyone else experienced this? Does VG go bad?
