Hello everyone!!! I have a really big issue. I bought a Bombshell Stinger just after Christmas and was SUPER excited to have it arrive in the mail. When i first got it I plugged the battery into the wall and let it "charge" for 3-4 hours (although the light was green from the very beginning). Put my mod together with my kick installed, filled the 1.7ohm carto with my Halo juice, popped that puppy on there and...No Fire - nothing happened. Took out my kick thinking maybe something was wrong with it, put the brass pin and delrin tube in instead of the kick, put it together - and BAM!!! not only would it not fire, but the bottom of the mod got really hot, and the button/switch completely melted rendering the cap of the mod useless (button was repressed and no longer pushable).

I talked to Tim at HotVapes and he was very nice and sent me a new charger/battery and cap and i sent mine back.

Got my new cap in as well as battery in the mail about 3-4 days later. This time the battery charger showed red and the battery went through charging state just fine. I put this thing together now with my 2.4ohm carto with the kick set to 6.4Watts(anything over this and the carto tasted very burnt). I used it for about a total of 24hours and MAN was it a great vape. I took of my carto to drop in some more juice(for maybe the 6th time), screwed it back on and AGAIN, it wouldn't fire - took it apart, again thinking it was the Kick malfunctioning, used the brass pin with just the battery, BOOM again with the Hot Bottom and melted switch.

It seems as if the kick was actually protecting this from happening. Nevertheless, this should not be happening, either that or I am an idiot and im doing something wrong. I am reluctant to contact Tim at HotVapes again because this is his family buisness and I do not want to keep complaining to him to send me free caps because i could quite possibly just be an idiot.

I am sorry for this post being so long, but i just really hope someone can help me understand, if and what i may be doing wrong.

I have no idea. It could be anything. My guess is, the brass pin could be too long and it's pressing on the 510 connector. Who knows though? You have to send it back or with most likely will keep happening over and over again.
Wow!!! that really really really sucks. The only thing that remains the same on my PV is the battery housing and the kick ring - i really can't see how there could be anything wrong with either of those, but i guess it's not really impossible either. Possibly something to do with the threading i presume.

Ok i guess its time to send it back then and see what comes of it. I ordered a B.A.M 2.0 that should be here any day now, so that should hold me over until my Stinger comes back to me in working order. At least i know that the BAM has a really good switch that has a fuse with a lil protection, so i know this wont happen, or at least hope it's not possible. Ty Scottinboca fo your input:)

Stinger sent back to HotVapes - talked with Tim and he's just as dumbfounded as I am. Apparently im only the 3rd person this has happened too, so at least it's not like he didn't believe me. He is a very cool and understanding guy and took care of my issue without hesitation. I called him at 9:00am and at 9:30 i got the shipped notification in my email with the tracking number. As a plus though, my B.A.M 2.0 was waiting for me as i left to go to the P.O along with some of that Adams Sin Apple juice thats(as i now know) the best juice EVER. So all in all i sent a PV back but got one in the same day - no vape time lost really :toast:

I understand the frustration. I purchased a Bombshell Stinger, I thought I may as well try the experience of the long vapr time between charges promised by Super T's Shockwave 26650 MOD, which I am going on a year waiting to get. So when I saw the Bombshell Stinger available, I jumped right on it. Its been about 3 weeks since my order and almost that long having it in my posession..... I keep all my mods in a stand, which I made by drilling holes in aluminum square stock 2 1/2 by 4 " the holes allow me to stand all my collection upright without them falling and getting scratched nand /or damaged. They sit on a desk and are "babied". So, it was a suprise when I tried to vape the bombshell intermittently while watching TV, that the button suddenly had no action and the thing would not fire. I checked everything, the kick, batteries, but it appears that the cap just failed. This was a real suprise because I vape on several MODs, I have a nice collection of many different types of PV's and like to use them in a rotating fashion during the course of an evening, trying various liquids, wick designs, etc. I do not give any one MOD a heavy workout at all,I think there may be a quality issue similar to the problem I encountered with the 18650 tube and head sold under the EGO branding. Maybe the components were just not up to the use a vaper may place on them. But your problem sounds more like a dead short in the MOD. Good Luck :)
