Hello ecf,

I recently purchased the Bombshell Stinger from Tim at Hotvapes.com

Three main factors attracted me to it.
1) It is made to be used with a Kick WITH a 26650 battery.
2) It is just a bit larger than a Silver Bullet even with the mondo battery.
3) vape time is awesome!

Here it is in all its glory (sorry about the glare from the flash)

Look at the size of that battery. Holy crap! Note the Kick fits nicely into the adapter ring. Tim was kind enough to think of those without a Kick too. The kit comes with this insert to run the PV natively as a 3.7v device. I have to assume that most people will prefer to use it with a Kick as standard 3.7v devices are giving way to variable voltage and variable power devices. Still, there are a lot of people that like 3.7v with low resistance. For what its worth, I vaped it at 3.7v with the insert and with a 2 ohm Vivi Nova, and I was pleasantly surprised.

The kit comes with the Bombshell Stinger PV, the insert for vaping without a Kick, one 26650 MNKE IMR battery rated at 3500 mAh and a charger. Tim also throws in a matching drip tip and a low res carto. No it does not come with the Kick, but Hotvapes will be selling them in the future according to a statement on the website.

Here is a size comparison for you.

Thats the VV Gripper, the Bombshell Stinger, a GLV XL Mini, an EVO, a Puresmoker Legacy, and a Provari Mini with an extension cap.

Yes it is big, but not too big considering the massive battery it uses. It's quite comfortable to hold. Watch Fazed's video here Bombshell Stinger 26650 Mod - YouTube and you will see a nice size comparison to a kicked Silver Bullet with an extension sleeve with an 18650 inside. You may be surprised at the similarity in size.

I love the little clicky brass button. It's very easy to find, and it's extremely responsive. It hasn't misfired at all. With a Kick, I am getting about 22 to 24 hours of use. As you can see I bought the silver Stinger, but it also comes in black. I am willing to bet that Tim will offer it in various colors if sales warrant it. The original Bombshell comes in several colors. Oh I forgot to mention a nice feature. If you own an original Bombshell, the caps are the same so you can opt for just the body and the adapter ring and save yourself $20.

This thing is a beast. I love it. I told Tim it's not a dragon... it's a dragon killer.

Enjoy!

So far the Stinger has been awesome. I'm very happy with it. I would like to see one change though. The adapter for the Kick should be knurled to make it easier to unscrew the parts. Sometimes it can be difficult to unscrew the cap without also unscrewing the adapter from the main body. Other than that, I love it and I use it every day.

The Legacy is ok. I use it once in a while, but the one thing I don't like about it is the end caps have coarse threads instead of fine, and they seem to unscrew with very little effort even when you don't want them to. For example, when I am trying to unscrew the button lock, the entire end cap will start to unscrew instead. Coarse threads don't grab as well as fine threads do.

I've watched the youtube video, and like your review, I think this will be my next pv, and my last for a bit (hopefully) I am curious on there site, why if you add the tube is it going to come with a LR cartomizer? I would think with the kick you wouldn't need / want LR.

I'm glad you liked the review. I think they are just throwing in some free stuff to make the kit more attractive. And if you happen to use the Stinger without the Kick, the LR carto will come in handy.

I purchased two of the original Bombshells in February of last year with high hopes. By April, both were dead. Hotvapes suggested cleaning the threads. The threads were fine, it was the switch. I still have them collecting dust on my desktop, Hotvapes has not responded to any requests for help in almost a year. The purple one sort of worked but got VERY hot whenever a battery was in it. (I am still using the battery with another mod, not the battery). So, if you want something cool for a few weeks for a lot of money then zero customer service, head on over to Hotvapes. I sound mad. I am mad! Just wanted to warn people.

Wow Julie Anne thanks for sharing... I was actually arguing with myself for the past week if I would break my budget for this device. I want one but it would be foolish considering the total cost, now especially if they don't offer good after sales, screw that!

So really you bought two, both died AND no answer from support whatsoever? That is really not cool, I would be mad too, in fact I would be so ......!

Glad you liked the review. It is a huge battery. I haven't had any problems with mine yet, and I use it every day. As one person on this thread mentioned, I have heard of some people having issues with the button in the past when the device was just the Bombshell. I, however, have had no problems with it at all. It fires every single time.

Thanks for a great and honest bit of info. This is the reason I don't check reviews.I said a long time ago that no one should be allowed to do a review unless they used a device for at least 6 months.

The problem is the woefully inadequate switch in this thing. They replaced the head with a remanufactured one that was scratched and dinged. I had to replace the switch myself the third time it went bad. If I could figure a way to just make it a full mechanical, I would. Any ideas would be appreciated.
