I have that very charger. It has proven quite reliable. You will find the springs for it is a bit stiff at first, and a bit of oil could prove useful.

Edd - So glad about the charger. My 'clearance' has broken the bank.
I can't thank you enough for your help (everyone's) - this crowd is beyond awesome! :rickroll:

I wouldn't feel to bad if I was you... I got so excited when I purchased my Provari I entered the wrong shipping address. Then spent the next 24 hours worrying, pouting, and sending begging emails to ProVape support to help correct the problem before it was shipped to Outer Mongolia or some other easily accessible place.

BUT even though ProVape found my emails soaked in tears humorous they corrected the problem for me and it didn't even cause a shipping delay. "Their is a God" ;)

You are toooo funny! I honestly couldn't believe I bought it but I was rather disappointed with a mod I bought last week. Hopefully I entered the right address. I had a package shipped to me from PA to Mi that wound up in Puerto Rico & sat it there for days with no tracking updates. Can you say Panic Attack? Just LOVE USPS (not). As it turned out, it was the mod & I almost wish they would of kept it there. Hope the ProVari is as great as I'm expecting......

Just glad it's a happy ending.

One other thing, you need a couple of cheap items for maintaining your ProVari:
99% Isopropyl alcohol. Get the 99%, not a lower concentrate. You use this with a q-tip weekly to clean the negative and positive terminals where the battery connects. I can only find this online (amazon).

Noalox. 4 oz bottle. Use this monthly on your threads. You can find it at home depot for 5 bucks.

Details for using these are in the user manual that you can download for free from the website. Maintain your investment. It will last you a long, long time!

It will be a 'happy ending' when everything arrives in perfect condition. :) I will say today was very educational, thanks to you & your friends. I already have the Noalox - would vodka or Everclear work? I've never seen 99% alcohol - I have 70%. Q-tips - check. Please tell me this isn't going to be ultra high maintence, like an Audi I used to have.....oh & what am I going to do with a zillion 18650 flat tops. Do they remain good if they sit all charged? Inquiring minds want to know....

Maintenance on my two takes 20 minutes, once a week. You will have to order the 99% alcohol. Its well worth it.

Actually you can buy 99% alcohol at Wal-Mart and Costco and I assume most Rx shops these days. I was very surprised to see it and had never seen it available in local stores until just recently. And remember I live in the middle of nowhere - really.

But if you really have trouble finding the 99% stuff just go to your local liquor store and pick up a bottle of "Ever Clear" = almost 200 proof = around 95+% (more than close enough and no denaturing agents). Caveat no fair drinking the Ever Clear between cleanings... it will definitely clean "your clock". ;)

I am sure the Provari will be everything you hope it to be and as far as hi-maintenance it really should require less than a lot of the Chinese MODs. The Provari is built pretty tight without a whole lot of places to catch dirt and grim. I think the guys have more to clean than women because we are always sticking it in our jean pockets. And if you have ever pulled the pockets out before putting them in the wash you know what I am talking about.

@ EddardinWinter - WOW, what is that a life time supply of Noalox LOL

OK Edd....go ahead & spend my money LOL. BTW - the Rolls Royce SHIPPED but, just like I feared, no keys. (no batteries):( While I'm at Amazon, shopping for my alcohol, is there anything else my Rolls requires.

Oh...I forgot to mention, you take great pictures (thank you) & your ProVari is beautiful.

moishesmom,

"to have.....oh & what am I going to do with a zillion 18650 flat tops. Do they remain good if they sit all charged? Inquiring minds want to know.... "

YES they will go bad it they sit with a full charge for long periods of time. That is why when you get them with some device they will be between 40% and 80% charge level. It will not harm them to sit for modest lengths of time at full charge but if you don't plan on using them for a prolonged period you should pull them down to about 80% and then stow them away and ever 4 months or so pull them out and check to keep them in the 40 to 80% range.

L-ion batteries have to states they don't like much and that is full charge (least offensive) and full discharge (the most damaging state in the shortest amount of time).

I have the same problem with a bunch of flat tops that I have, so again your not alone. And if I might I would suggest marking your new button tops with a black marker 1 thru 4 so you can keep track and rotate them i.e. 1. on Monday 2. Tuesday and so on. If you rotate them you should get excellent life out of all four new batteries. (sitting with a full charge for 6 or 7 days is absolutely no problem)

The hardest thing you will have to deal with is trying not to fret about the flat tops you have stored away.

My Noalox is that size. The price diff between that & the small one, well it just didn't make sense. I was just at Costco & did look at their alcohol - nope, they didn't have 99%. They only have a very low % one. I do have a bottle of Everclear (large size also). I wouldn't dare drink that - I worry that it could self-combust!! Just kidding. ;) In case you haven't noticed my other post, I'll repeat just for you..IT SHIPPED!! :vapor: ;)

Wow, sorry I missed out on all the fun. I was taking a nap.

Moishesmom, you look like you might need a little hand-holding based on what I've just read...And on a side note, we are temporarily out of the Provarinati secret decoder rings. (Provari sales have been through the roof lately.)

Holman, I just counted 33 flat tops that I rotate. I change them out on a daily basis so that they don't discharge all the way & BTW, they're Panasonic IMRs. There is 1 that I have marked as 'bad' with a ? so let's make that 32. Taking your advise, guess I'll just use each thru about 1/2 day & then put most of them away. Cool spot in the house? Oh, in case you forgot - IT SHIPPED!!:)

Hey Bad - Wow, what a fun day you missed. I would have been so (can I say screwed?) if it wasn't for the the terrific guys that stepped in & saved me from my ignorance. They are truly a blessing.

Thanks for the videos; I'm saving them. Hand-holding & another 'fuzzy-navel' are much needed. It doesn't surprise me that sales of the ProVari are soaring - very disappointing quality coming into the country. Oh...let me tell you in case you missed it - IT SHIPPED!! :)

OK on the Noalox, looks like I am the one that over paid... I bought mine from ProVape.

And now I will be humble (not an easy effort for me) "I lied it is 91%". I personally think that is good enough unless you are going to do the circuit board wash that ProVape mentions. But unless you accidently put the e-juice in the battery end or have a tank crack and drain down into the electronics I don't see why you would ever have to do that. Actually if it needed the internal wash I would send it in to ProVape and have the professional do it.

Don't forget the "Every Clear"... plus it is multi-purpose.

moishesmom,

33 flat head batteries. And I am trying to give you advice, how patronizing can I be. - Ugh!

I don't even want to know how many mods you purchased before deciding on the Provari. I have 4 predicessors and 9 flat heads. I have not put them away yet and every time I look at them I can't help thing there sits a dinner for two at the Out-Back that will never happen.

And yes I got the message about "IT HAS SHIPPED". I am empathetic about your wait. It has to be one of the longest 3 to 4 days ever!

Glad you got the message. Honestly, you crack me up & NO, you don't want to know how many. Let's just say I'm a true believer in hoarding. You never know.

I'm already calculating how I'm going to get the mini - pretty sick isn't it? I just love the design....

Everclear - multi-purpose? Kidding. You have no idea how hard it was to find a bottle. I do have 91% alcohol in the house. I found it at Meijers (similiar to Walmarts only smaller) & my Costco only carries 70%. Please tell me I don't have to worry about my carto/tank leaking into the ProVari.....pleeeease.

Like I said I believe the 91% is just fine for the normal thread cleaning and such. I just would to an internal flush with it and as I said the internal flush, God forbid you ever need to do that I would send it in to ProVape.

On the "Carto" leak well the Provari looks like the drip well is pretty secure but I will leave that to the more experienced to comment on. If it does leak it is possible for juice to run down and enter the unit via the "Fire Button". I personally don't stand my Provari vertical very often the base is very narrow and not very stable when standing up. I know everyone will tell you that the Provari can take a lick and keep on ticking but I don't think you can say that for a lot of tanks. Beside the time I knocked over my Tesla... well lets just say it was traumatic.

Well if it is this Provari forum has a whole lot of sick people including myself. I plan on being on-line tomorrow to try and get one of the polished silver units. "Hoarding" I don't know anything about it and hording has nothing to do with my bank account is approaching ZERO.

I wipe out the well quite often so hopefully it won't be any different than any of my others. I also lay most of them down so that shouldn't be a problem either. Basically, this shouldn't be any different then what I'm using now, maintence wise, so why am I hyperventilating?

I'm sure it doesn't. Are they that hard to get? BTW, I love the look of the Tesla, may it RIP. :(
