I know what you're saying about habits, Ratty, but I'd suggest tackling one at a time. The addiction to cigarettes is horribly strong. It's not just the nicotine; it's the 4,000 other chemicals, the nicotine itself, and the action of hand to mouth. One at a time. Kick the 4,000 other chemicals by keeping the nicotine and the hand to mouth. Then you can reduce your nicotine over time and kick that one. Once you get down to 0 nicotine, work on the hand to mouth (start chewing pencils or something...LOL). Anyway, cigarettes are HARD to quit....this is a relatively painless, easy, sensible way to do it with the least amount of discomfort. And it's fun. I have completely quit cigarettes....and it was easy....and it "took" with this method. (7 months now and I'll NEVER smoke again.) My nicotine level has been reduced, and will continue to be reduced. IF I ever choose to quit this, I'll have a much easier time of it than I would have in going "cold turkey" on cigarettes. Be kind to yourself. You can consider this an interim step to your ultimate goal. But I still stand by my words that it'll be a lot more successful if it's something you enjoy doing. Good luck.
