Hey everyone! Could use a little advice and maybe pointed in the right direction here.

I have been dripping for over 2 years with a rotation of 901s, 510s, 306s, etc. I'm a big fan of dripping because of the ritual, the ease of switching flavors, and most important flavor. I haven't read much about RBAs, I've been curious but not curious enough yet to go through the what looks to be steep learning curve. I think I'm ready to introduce myself to them.

I've been under the impression that the flavor is muted compared to regular atties, switching flavors is a hassle, and your stuck with whatever airflow it has. Found out today I was wrong on the last 2. I will have to find out for myself when it comes to flavor.

I'm looking for a rebuildable that works like a regular atty as far as adding several drops and being able to switch flavors on the fly. I don't want much wick involved, tho it seems with any of them the user sets his own wick length. I would love airflow control, but will settle with one that has a medium draw like a 510, not tight and not too airy. I don't need and would prefer not to have a tank function. I would like no or minimal leaking if I can't use it with a drip shield. Flavor is most important, if it's not exactly up to par with regular atties I won't keep using it.

Right now I'm leaning towards the Dream SS rba from EmpireMods for $15. It has adjustable airflow and says 7 drops is enough to drip. Let me know if you have experience with that one or an idea for one I might like better. It will be used on eGo Twists. Thanks for any help!

the dream is getting good reviews, as well as one called the fatty.
most of the so called dripping atty's hold a bt more then 4 drops now but yes this can be controlled more or less by wick length, i have an a7 rba that i put very short wicks in so i have to drip a few drops and roll it around for a sec then hit it.

they are all a bit fussy on the changing flavors on the fly because the silica wick hold flavor until it runs dry, unlike a prebuilt which dries out instantly but its not too long before it will start to bleed the new taste. but i just deal with it for a few loadings.

recoiling isnt too hard the first few times are a bit nerve racking sometimes, after that it's a breeze.

if you would like to maybe try some more prebuilts i recommend ikenvapes i06. a refined 306 they build themselves.

Thanks a lot Thrasher, that helps a lot. I don't mind too much if the flavor takes a little more time during a switchover phase. I just watched a video on making a coil and it looks easy enough. Going to start with a few pre-wrapped ones until I decide to add the RBA into my rotation. I still love my prebuilts, but these will be nice for juices like some NETs that are hard on coils.

Yep, I've used the i06 and most other IKV atties. Very nice indeed. I need to find out if there's a diff between the EM and the discountvapers Dream atty then I'll be ready to make a purchase.

Picked up a dream atty for $9 at vapor bank last night. Still haven't got it yet but I use a Rainbow and a couple of triangles from Empire and they have been great. The triangles look fantastic on my 1300 spinners with the cone that they sent with it. After I try the dream I'm going to pick up an a7 since everyone has raved about it.

I do prefer the look of the A7 and the Triangle, and the Vision Eternity is very sharp, but the Dream is still in the lead with the adjustable draw. Probably gonna get it from DV and hope it's the same one and get the premade coils from EM.

I have the Phoenix (clone), an A7 clone, and an IGO-L. All are great for dripping. I'm only a few days into using the IGO, but it's definitely the easiest of the 3 to change a coil. There's a learning curve to all of them, but you really can't go wrong if you just play around with them a bit. I have found that using a cotton wick allows me to easily change flavors without a lot of flavor retention.

The IGO looks pretty sweet too. If I like these rebuildables there's a lot of quality, good priced options. Looks like it's really going to come down to if they provide the optimum taste I'm used to.

You should get an A7 and Dream from VaporBank.you can get wick and wire and premade coils from them too. The reason I suggest those two is because they will work great with the eGo spinner. The Pheonix and Igo have center pins that's sometimes don't play we'll with the spinner connection. There is a slight learning curve but it's not a steep one. Also there are a few tricks like torching your wick and wire before building. I think you'll get the flavor you are wanting pretty easily. And if you use silica wicks a dry burn will quickly clean up the gunk left by NET juices. I go through a lot of Boba's and I think it has more solids in it than the tobaccos, I can get two weeks out of a coil by dry burning it every day or two. I use 3.5mm wick from COV.

edit: Meant to mention the A7 center pin is adjustable with a screwdriver and if I remember correctly the Dream is spring loaded.

I have a Phoenix, an A7, and a Dream BT 801 (Fatty V2 clone). O fall of these, I enjoy the Phoenix the most, They each have their quirks.

With the Phoenix, the center post gets loose with use due to the grommet wearing out, and I need to push the whole base of the atty down to make a good connection. My first Phoenix lasted for several months before the center post grommet wore out and it wouldn't fire any more.

With my A7, the center pin on the bottom is really loose and I constantly need to screw it in or out and adjust the center post to make good contact. Plus, since the airhole is on the bottom, juice sometimes leaks down the center pin. The metal is a lot thinner and doesn't feel as solid as the other two.

I couldn't ever get my Fatty v2 Clone to work well. The air control adjuster was too loose, and it would whistle when I tightened the draw to where I liked it. I didn't hold much juice, and the vape was really hot, since the chamber is so small. This one I don't use any more.

The Phoenix with a stainless steel vertical wick is my preferred dripping setup.

Thanks for the additional info guys. Vaporbank looks like where I'll get the products. I see they have 3 RBAs called the Dream, BT801, 2, and 3. The 1 is the one I've been researching so I'll get some info on the other 2. I still need to consider whether to get premade coils to start with or go ahead with a spool of wire and some wick.

You might as well bite the bullet and toss a Vamo into your cart while you're there.
