I quit smoking Analogs and switched to digital to save some money. But I am having trouble making a bottle that I can taste the flavor compared to commercial bottles. They all either have a chemical taste or no taste at all. I was hoping a Veteran would help me out with a step by step walk through on a basic flavor that's good. I have 100 Mg/Ml Nic (100%VG base), 100% VG USP, 100% PG and access to what ever flavors I need on hand. Any assistance would be helpful. I have read quite a bit on this forum of different advanced techniques. i have yet to find a basic guide that breaks down how to do it and what each step does.

Ha! I have been there! You've encountered what I call Leland's Miracle Gro moment. (Leland was my grandfather.) So, what does my grandfather and your juice mixing have in common? "If a little is good, more must be better.", was Leland's thought after seeing what a little Miracle Gro did for grandmother's tomatoes. So next year he used a bunch of the fertilizer and the tomatoes suffered greatly.

You have the components. You know how to reach your target nicotine. You know how to measure. You want strong flavor....and that's what is screwing things up. I wrote a blog about this. (Click the 3 in the line, "Blog Entries: 3" and then pick the one on Flavoring Levels) The weird thing about mixing is that too much flavoring results in a chemically/perfumey flavor and way too much flavoring results in less flavor. So more is not better.

Check out my blog on flavoring levels. It should be a good guideline to finding a flavoring level that works for you. If you are still having problems after trying it my way, then pop over to http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/ and ask some questions there. Pretty helpful folks hang out in the DIY mixing sub.
