Help! E-cigs won't charge

I am a fairly new vaper. Ordered a starter pack from Volt back in October, and I've smoked maybe 2 packs of analogs since then. It's working great as a replacement for me, but I'm having technological problems. 1 of the first 2 batteries that came in my starter pack won't charge. I ordered a replacement, and am having the same problem. The third is fine, so it's not the charger. Is this a common problem? Is it the brand? Or could I be doing something wrong? Help!

What style of battery is it? Clean the contact connections on your charger really good with a paper towel and clean the batteries. I'm not real familiar with analogs (they don't satisfy me) but I know that liquid gunk will build up on your charger and on the battery end. Clean the connection of the battery with a q-tip really well until there is no visible residue on the q-tip.

Clean both the charger and the battery connection - tiny bit of alcohol on a qtip and then a dry qtip. Hopefully its just a gunky connection!!!

Let us know if this works...if not - we can try to think of other ideas. Also - unplug the charger first (I assume you would've done this anyways- but we all know the old adage about assuming! lol)

Alot of the battery packs in these cheap starter kits are not the best out there...don't throw em away however...you can easily convert that into a USB bypass rig (if you know soldering and a a bit tech savvy), easiest thing to do is try to return it to the store you bought it from for a replacement (some stores will honor their products...some wont)

Unfortunately eGo batteries are the quintessential buy cheap and if it breaks chunk it and get a new one mentality of consumerism

Larger rigs with serviceable batteries (aka batteries that can be swapped out) are usually what most users end up going to especially after their eGo's go kaput on them

Also the center pin can get pushed down by screwing on the heads too tightly which makes the rigs not be able to fire but also not be able to charge...there is an easy fix for that as well

My bad, I'm still learning the "lingo". I thought analogs were stick type e cigs like the blue cigs. Now I know :2cool:

I don't know any of the lingo! Read a little here, bought what I thought I needed, and that was it. I bought a cig-a-like, KR-something? 2 piece with (theoretically) rechargeable batteries. I bought online and am about to move, so returning for a replacement is kind of a pain. I tried cleaning with alcohol, and had no luck. Yes, I unplugged everything and tried again, in more than one outlet. I'm really irritated, because it was satisfying my cravings completely and I have no desire to have anything complicated. I don't enjoy tinkering, and definitely have never soldered anything, unfortunately!

Any other suggestions? Switch brands? Or is this a common problem?

I vote for the center pin on the battery being pushed in enough to prevent contact. All the center pins on atomizers and the throwaway style batteries use a silicone sleeve to insulate the center from the outer ring. If you have needle nose pliers with small tips you can grab it and pull it up a MM or so. Working back and forth from one side to the other with a needle file will also go the job.

Just don't press the fire button by accident while you are working on it!
