You can become ery dehydrated from vaping. I drink a lot of water and use a moisturizing mouth spray. Occasionally strange things have been reported from loss of flavor in the vapor (even though taste is unaffected when eating and drinking) to strange tastes. Most pass in a few days and may also be attributed to your taste buds returning to normal.

get some new atomizers or cartomizers (in case it's the carts) and keep it top of mind to drink a lot of water and no mater how much you drink....drink MORE. A note on the dehydration effect....remember how nasty things taste after a night of binge drinking and smoking? Remember how a good drink of water clears most of it up.

Most reports of such issues pass after a few days to a week. I went through it after I quit and started vaping and know of a few more who experienced the same. It will pass

No, im not using a tank. Im plugging the carto straight into the back of my epower. It was PERFECT for 10 days, now everythings horrible and I mean 3 seperate juices on 3 seperate cartos and I even tried 1 atty. Its exactly the same rubber taste. Ive been using this cartos for 10 days, I have filled it many many times so I dont think theres any sealant still in it.

I have 1 more unused carty and then im out. Im afraid to even attempt filling it up with 2 ML and smoking it. I hope im not ruining all my cartos ( even though I have 15 in the mail right now and 5 more juices coming ).

Do you think it's definitely something with the pv and not your tastebuds.

I don't have one but tried to do a search and couldn't find anything. You could start a thread in the general section with E-Power in the title and maybe someone that has one could help.

It could be your tastebuds though. After a couple weeks I lost my sense of taste completely. I suddenly could taste anything I vaped at all. It came back after a day or two, but it was weird.

I was asking about the button because my mother had one of her batteries get stuck on. She can't really hear well and didn't realize it at first. I did when I saw it and could smell the nasty smell of burnt juice.

Does the carto feel really, really hot?

Burnt tastes are usually from not keeping the cartos full. But it's usually not a rubber taste.

I guess it is possible there something wrong with the E-Power itself, though I haven't seen anything similar with what others are reporting, or what I've experienced myself.

It's also possible you've hit the flat spot where everything vaped tastes bad. Most of us have had that and it passes. Sucks while it's happening though.

I had the same problem with my cartos in a Riva 510 but I figured out that was the way I was filling it.

The first refill is really important and the Boge 510 2.7ohm (regular voltage and size) do take up to 30 drops (brand new only). Its important to fill it with 15 drops, let it sit for 10 minutes and then put another 10 drops, wait 5-10 minutes and then put another 5-10 drops. It works fine with 20 drops but you will might to have another refill really soon on that carto.

The way that I figured out that works better for me is to filling it dropping (like drip tip in a atty) using the small condo (that has the "little ball in inside" and after the first 15 drops, take that and give it a shake. You will see the juice at the bottom but that should not flood the carto at all, its just normal.

Now my cartos are fine and once I start to not taste anything I drop at least other 10 drops to use it right away, or then 20 drops and let it sit for about 20 minutes in the vertical position and with the cap/condom in both sides. Remove the condoms and clean the carto with a papel towel and you good to go.

I hope it works for you.

Happy vaping.

OK as a noob I have to ask a battery (unit) make any thing taste bad? I could see it if it was bad juice, atty,or cart. Sorry for the Hi-jack but this is the unit I want so watch closely

I'd guess anything is possible. Sure the mosfet switch could be overheating and giving off some bad smells. I just haven't heard of it with the E-Power until now. Mine works fine, has the older blue button.

And there has been an issue with the switches on these. The second gen ones (white button) have trouble with low resistance cartos. New switches are supposed to be hitting our market this month.

My mother had a brand new battery, I think a riva with the soft button. The button got stuck 'on' and she didn't realize it and told me her pv tasted funny. I knew immediately something was right. That thing was hot! I couldn't get the carto off, it was practically melted onto the battery. I finally got it off and played with the button and it went off. I took the whole thing outside. It really scared me! And it smelled horrible.

I think it was just a freak thing. I hope it was. Never had it happen again and they replaced it.

I just remember reading about buttons and switches and didn't know if it could be something like that.
