well im 4.5% into getting the folding@home title. christ imagine how much work could be done if everyone on these forums had that title. even if it was just 1 work the finished thats a fantastic number !
Yup. V6 only serves Macs from some ancient server that is dying (and maybe dead already), and V7 requires a core 2 duo chipset. Won't even open on the core duo machine. My old MBP was one of the last made before they went c2d (It was in that first generation of Intel based MBPs). So I can only fold on my Mac Mini, and I7 MBP.
But I'm learning about Mac's.
FAH = Fold At Home.
I think it died dead 11/5. That was the last time I was able to get wu for my mbp. 
I kept trying to install the V7 on it but it was like it would only half install so I gave up on it.

Our MPB's are Intel Core i7's. Will this V7 program work for us?
Been playing around with the client a little.
During the first day, I just let it run on default and I notice micro freeze times when I'm gaming. Started googling and looking at the client and realize that the default settings are 2 processes. 1 x SMP and 1 x GPU.
I changed it to 3 x SMP and no GPU while I'm at the computer and turn on the GPU when I'm away. Everything's been working great so far.

Yeah they should really add the turn off/pause the gpu in the post so people are not turned off/away from this because of the huge lag it causes.
You could leave the gpu set, right click and pause it while you are using the computer and if you have not embraced senility at an early age like me...... remember to unpause it when you leave the computer.

I took a look at the team stats and as far as I can tell by checking other large teams only the top 1000 members show on the team stats. I'll have to get with thrasher and see if there is a way to pull a full team roster in case we ever go over 1k members. But this in itself tells me that I'll have to implement a form for members to request the title. It is just going to become too labor intensive to scroll through the list looking for a new name to appear and trying to remember of that person has already gotten their title on ECF... Especially because the list changes on every update as people rise or fall on the leaderboard.

Finally finished a WU! Been a while. Got a computer to repair that I can probably dedicate to this. Need more parts. Name on there is Duranu, just as it is here.

Guess the F@As must think I've got a great computer. I'm on a job that ends in....1.97 days with a final deadline of 72.10 days. Seems there are generous points on this one. "Estimated credit: 8855.31"
