Yall think you're running on outdated rigs? Here's my laptop, but it does have upgraded memory LOL My desktop was built as a gaming rig but that was about 5 years ago

I've got a lappy that I forgot to mention that I do both gpu and smp folding on and it has been an absolute workhorse for me the last 5 years. I upgraded the processor to an Intel Core 2 Extreme X9000 when I first got it and it has a Nvidia 8800M(mobile) GTS.....it still hangs pretty well though and produces maybe 3500 pts a day and it runs 24/7. Gotta blow the dust out once a week or the temps start rising pretty quickly....it's gonna need to last me another 5 years to make up for the $$ I put in it to upgrage the proc and memory at the time....lol. I also installed Windows 7 on it last year.

I think still most advise not to fold with your laptop but as long as the temps remain within spec not really an issue to me and mine has proven that knock on wood....I also believe it's beneficial to just leave them on rather than turning them off if folding.

I pulled the batt pack off my lappy, turned off hibernate and sleep modes, put it on a rack for better air cooling, and it runs pretty much 24/7 on uni. I don't want to try the GPU folding with it tho. It also helps that I keep my room cold as a...well just cold

It sometimes takes awhile. They do updates every hour but sometimes it takes longer to get your stats updated.
Awesome idea, dont know how I am just seeing this now. I use to do F@H a while back, so I know the drill. I set this up on one of my home servers to run 24/7 just now so count me in. Go Team ECF!

Comparison would be.. normally I run my PC for 4 to 5 hours per day, and the bill amounted to XX.xx
Now with F@H, I am running it 24x7 and the bill came to XX.xx
