I work for a department store with a big, red round logo, and I walked out onto the sales floor with a tub full of these little guys, completely ignorant of the INSANE demand that there is for them. It was like a pack of hyenas on a wounded wildebeest...I'm still a little shaken up. The voracity of people is amazing when it is their children's christmas day happiness at stake.

I just told DH your story, he asked if they were all women. He also recommended where to place some of them and yell out here's Patches. KWIM (LOL)

Actually, I'm sorry that happened people are crazy. I had resigned myself to the fact I'd have to get them after Christmas, but 2 of my kids birthdays are in December, it seems like they always get screwed because of that. Since I found them they got little lucky this year.

E-bay and Amazon are insane prices.Amazon are much cheaper than Ebay.I used to buy Zhu Zhu pets from Amazon.com because they have free shipping on like, everything, but the only ones they had were being sold (at WAY marked up prices) by third parties. However I heard about AmazingWatcher.Com which is a free website that will “watch” items for you on Amazon and let you know when amazon has them in stock at regular retail price.:)

this is all caused by the santa clause story...telling your kids this garbage and letting them tell the drunk santa at the mall what they want make for some tough times with some gifts being bought at rediculous prices just so this santa clause isnt a liar and your kids arent sad on this wonderful day of gifts and gimme gimme

Are you chastising me for wanting my little girl to have a merry Christmas? She already knows daddy is Santa btw. I don't take my kids to the mall Santa. I hunted for one because I have good kid and she deserves to be happy and as her father I will do everything I can to help her be happy. Not just by buying things either, I drive 4 hrs 3 times a week to coach her softball team. I am at her events and I support her in everything she attempts. Hunting for a certain toy is a small way to repay my daughter for doing well in school, being kind/polite/loving, and helping me with her little sisters.

For those that find Shopko says they are OOS, check back early in the morning. It seems like they post more stock in the early morning.

All the parents that said thank you, you're very welcome. (I understand)

Hey Johnny I didn't know about watcher thanks, that will come in very handy. Lately I'm not liking Amazon very much.

Happy Holidays.
