Hey guys, first post. I hope I am dong thing right...

I am new to this idea of vaporizing. I see tons of products on the market and its really hard to know where to start.

Here is what I am looking for:

Something with decent battery life. I want to be able to smoke at my computer for hours if I please.
I want to be able to use e-liquid or w/e its called. Im not a fan of buying those carton things.
I dont really care if it looks like a real cig or not because im way more interested in the quality
I am really interested in all the flavors
Lots of vapor would be good.

Like I mentioned I am not and really excited to start smoking without freezing my ... off out side.

thanks a ton in advanced guys.

Hello and welcome! I think a good place to start out would be an ego style battery. If you are going to be sitting at your computer for long periods of time you could really benefit from a "passthrough" battery. It plugs into your usb and just uses the power from that no charging! something like this Smok Tech 5 Volt 510 Manual USB Passthrough I say an ego twist would be a good start as far as getting the power you may want. Look for an 1100mah battery something like this Ego Twist Kit (1100 mah) - J Vapes E-liquid E-cigarettes and accessories for when your on the go and dont want it to die very quickly. Lots of people like a vivi nova, you can fill it up with. madvapes sells vivi nova full size and the mini size. You could also just go with a standard dripping atomizer. All those things you can fill with liquid of your choice not pre-filled

Greetings, New Person.

It really is hard to know where to start!

If what you want is "vaping at your computer for hours," you might want to include a passthrough battery in your arsenal: Joyetech passthrough kit These are great because you can vape at your desk without recharging, or pack up your gear and go. Easy-peasy.

Add a second battery, a bunch of cartos or a Vivi Nova, and you're good to go. After that it's just picking your juices - in other words, the fun part!

Hello and welcome RottenJeeves,
You are about to get a lot great advice from forum members here. I was in your shoes just 2 months ago. I had the same criteria when I started. Its a little overwhelming at first with all the choices, lingo, price points and what-not. So I started with a simple Ego 650 MaH (milli-amp hour) (JoyeTech eGo-C "Upgrade" Batteries - Hot size and color choices! - Vaping Me) battery kit, a stardus tclearomizer (tank, heating coil combo) (Stardust CE4 V2 Clearomizer - Multiple Colors! - Vaping Me) , and some e-juice (the nicotine liquid mix).(Baus eLixer eJuice for Electronic Cigarettes and Personal Vaporizers - Vaping Me)
I have upgraded a bit since, but this set up served me very well at first. My advice, Watch videos on youtube, read all the forum posts you can, and keep it going!

You can't go wrong with an ego twist and a nova. If you go with the twist I would get at least a 900mah battery as it is not a passthrough and will need to be charged. I would also get 2 so you can use one while the other is charging. I had a 650mah twist and it would only last me about 4 hours......less if I had it at 4.8 volts.

You'll need the charger and 2 batteries.

You may not end up liking the tank, clearomizer or whatever else comes in the kit, but it may be a start.

There are some decent sounding cigar vape liquid put there. I've been buying juice from Mt. Baker Vapor lately and they ship quick and have good product at good prices. Here's one of the cigar flavors they have:

http://www.mtbakervapor.com/havana-e-juice-baker-vapor-15ml/

When you order juice, you can choose the base. Either PG, VG or a mix. People eventually find their favorite, but the pure VG juices can be tricky. Vg is a lot thicker than PG and can be trouble in some equipment. So feel free to get a blend, but avoid pure VG juice at first.

Well, if you like cooler vapes, go with higher ohm, stronger vapes, lower ohm.

On eGo stuff, 1.8 ohm works for me. I like a powerful vape myself.

The 2.4 ohm is a good midrange. 3 may be a bit too high resistance for my own taste.

However, your tastes and preferences will likely be different than mine, so if you can order them all and try them out, you will probably be more satisfied.

Some of these types of questions deserve black and white answers, like does x fit on an EGo, or is a T3 bottom or top coil.

Other questions, like what ohms will I like, or what juices will I like are very personal. There are guidelines, of course, like i wrote above about the ohms, but you'll form your own opinions about what works for you.

For example, I would not be able to pick out the perfect tie or coat for you.

That said, the choices you are making are within the bounds of sensibility and you aren't doing anything weird or nonstandard.

At the risk of too much information, there is a chart here showing recommended ranges for various ohm and volt combos.
http://www.discountvapers.com/resistances/

The twist will do 4 or 4.7 volts, so go with 4 or 4.2 as an average. You'll have room to tweak more or less volts at that level.

I find I like to be in the right side green range.
