So I'm looking for a replacement for the tiny insulator the positive pin fits in on the cherry bomber box. There is a set of replacement parts on eBay, but I can't get my card to work with PayPal, and 14$ seems high. Any diy suggestions or a site that helps with vape odds and ends?

That's probably the one part I wouldn't skimp on.
Seriously, it's the only thing between an active positive charge and the negative wall of the 510. And it's locked in place once the mod is assembled.

I bought an aluminum cb off Craig's list for replacement parts. Cost me $15 bucks.

You could also find an appropriately sized rubber washer at the hardware store.

Edit #3. The consideration with using a flat rubber washer is that the entire female 510 assembly is insulated from the body of the mod, so it would be a pair of appropriately sized washers, one flat, one cylindrical. If you are able to safely test for shorts, you probably have enough knowledge and skill to properly insulate the 510.
