I've had Lemon Poundcake from TV, Strawberry Shortcake from Mrs.T, and a few other places' flavored cakes, and they really taste like cake with that flavor. What's the trick? High percentage? Low percentage? Steep longer than 5 days? Additives?
Here are the ones I've tried:
Cap Vanilla Cupcake (had to steep this one awhile to let the alcohol evaporate)
Cap Cake Batter
FW Cake - Yellow (this one tastes burnt past 3.6V on my Spinners/EVODs, so not much vapor)
I've tried Str8's strawberry cake recipe, I've tried different percentages with strawberry/strawberries & cream + cake (50/50, 40/60, 30/70, 20/80 + sweetener), I've tried adding a little marshmallow (yuck, didn't like this), EM, different creams, but just can't seem to get that caky yumminess. All I get is some sweet but generic, non-descript flavor. What else can I try?
