So my new years resolution was to stop smoking so I got a e cig. I ran into the kiosk at the mall, and they got me to buy the smoke51 kr808d-2 starter kit for $110.00. All was good because I was told I could refill the cartomizers. The carts i got ran dry tonight so i decided to put some drop I ordered from vaporgod, which was menthol VG 30%. I put it around 10 drops into the cotton part and let it dry with a blow dryer. I take a hit and get barely any smoke. Ive tried this with 8 crats and all of them either taste really bad, give no vapor, or do nothing at all. What am doing wrong? I've been reading the kr808d-2 is a rip off and to get a converter to another cartomizer type but which type is best to refill and guarantee this wont happen? 501? 808d-1? I'm really confused and I feel as if i've wasted more money than I would have if I didnt quit smoking.

thank you for any help.

Gooooodnight.

You want to be filling the carts condom method or as Ace pointed out be popping the cap off so you can see the poly filler inside. You need to get that soaked good and proper without getting liquid down the center tube. once they are filled a blow out to remove any flooding (without the dryer) else you going to leak onto your battery and you good to go.

My eyes boggled at the blow dryer part hehe

Mine too, but it kind of makes sense after thinking about it for a few minutes. If the kiosk person told the op to blow the carts out after filling, I can kind of see someone thinking to use a hair dryer. For those of us who have been vaping for a while it does sound very strange, thus my initial response.

For sure the jargon we quickly learn is really like a second language to new vapours! It's definately a lot to learn and very frustrating

First off, a hair dryer is not part of a person's vaping hardware. I can fully understand the confusion but put the hair dryer back in the bathroom and leave it there...you don't need it. It would be nice if kiosk workers, who are actually very uneducated when it comes to vaping, would better explain themselves by what they mean.

To fill a carto, take a round toothpick and gently insert it into the airhole until just a little snug. Don't force it...just a little snug. Now take your juice and start dripping into it slowly, one drop at a time. Keep doing this until the top of the filler material stays looking slushy. Now let it sit for 20 minutes on the threaded end of the carto. After 20 minutes, look at it again...it still should look a little slushy. If not, add another drop or 2. Let it sit a few more minutes and check it again. Once it stays looking slushy, remove toothpick. Now put the carto to your lips and hold a paper towel or napkin up to the other end...gently blow. The gentle blow will remove any juice that got in the airway. Wipe off the threads with a corner of the towel or napkin, screw on to your battery. Now vape it.

If it is a KR808 you should be able to purchase more empty cartomizer for the pv and fill them yourself or purchase prefilled cartomizers from vapor 4 life, LiteCigUSA.

Pretty expensive for a KR808, but I don't know if you got taken. I see people on here that should know better buy some pretty questionable crap for more than what you spent.
