Hey Everyone, A very happy new vaper here (started Thurs.). Smoked 2 analogs yesterday and only 2 puffs today. (Amazing how fast my tastes changed, those old school smokes are gross!) That's from a pack and a half/day for 20 years. Anyhow, I'm tooting on an eGo-type 3.7v (650maH) manual battery with a Stardust V2 clearomizer (long wick); and I'm developing burbles (wetness) and a good bit of juice settling into the joint between my batt. and my atty. (can I say that in mixed company?). I was vaping and setting the thing down in a vertical position (now I'm trying horizontal), I tend to release the battery switch 1/2 second before i stop my (slow, steady) draw. I'm tucking away at the thing for maybe ten-fifteen minutes at a time, and I'm using NLA e-liquid. Any ideas on what's causing the burbles? (by the way I'm liking the NLA: 2 parts tobacco flav./ 1 part coffee)

Hello pdib, and welcome to ECF! I have a couple of V2's, it sounds like the atty is loose inside the tank, and/or the tank is full, this could be a leaky combinaiton with a V2. Take the tip off, and tighten up the replaceable atty on the inside, just finger tight, don't over tighten. Wipe everything off, put it back together, make sure everything is tight (don't over tighten), vape and see if that fixed it. if not I'd start looking for cracks in the V2. Good Luck, and congratulations on making the wise choice of vaping!!

I had very horrible problems with the same Clearomizers, and my problem started when my place of order changed their "design" possibly their "supplier" take a look at the pictures from my post at the link below:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-newbie-big-problems-subject-clearomizer.html

Which one does yours look like? I've been getting lots of feedback from other people saying they are having the same problem, i've tested all suggestions other than "throw them away" (i don't throw $40+ bucks in the trash).

Currently all we can do is when we start getting the "blurbles" we unscrew the cap and their seems to be liquid (usually darker than what the rest of the juice looks like) that has somehow gotten up in there (we keep them standing strait up when not in use and this still happens, so it's not leaking in through the "silicone seal" as sugested) and we tilted it and tap that juice build up out and back down into the bottom with the other juice or we remove the cap completely and dab it out with a piece of twisted tissue. If it fills the top of the battery with juice we twist the tissue up and stick it into that bottom whole on the clearomizer and give a gentle blow and then while the tissue is still in there draw on it a few times till you don't hear the "blurble" sound anymore screw it back on then you can vape..

YES it is annoying... YES it is crushing for newbie vapers, but i refuse to throw away money until i find an alternative. No one has given us better suggestions and currently until we use up the 10 we ordered this is what we must suffer through :(.

I'ma keep up with your post to see if anyone gives you better suggestions than what we got! :) Good luck! (we plan to try Vivi novas when we get the cash, and Kangers as we hear neither leak and see which we like better).

Thanks for the ideas folks. Kristy, I looked at your pictures and that thread, and I'm leaning towards the idea that these cheap little things are sometimes good, sometimes not. As for your statistics: mine is clear like the one on the right, the fill-lines end(1.6ml) BELOW the white thingy inside, and I can't tell which bottom matches cause the lighting in your two images is different. My wick looks more like the clear one too. I have another that I bought at the same store. Will try that and report back for science's sake.
VINCE. . . . . . Tighten up the which? The white cap inside? (the bottom of the mouthpiece compresses against that, right?) Or the 2 flange metal stem on the bottom?
THRASHER . . . . I've been carefull to fill below the white thingy (stem cap-wick cincher) after the one time. It doesn't seem to matteR.

just checking. while others have had good experience with these, except for the original 2 CE2's I got when I started I have nothing but bad luck no matter what brand or type i try so i gave up, the only clearo I use now if im using one is a kanger T2 and they do not leak unless you mess them up.

I'm beginning to wonder about the contact between the battery and the clearo. I think Kristy mentioned something about that. Sometimes my battery is flashing 3 times during a snook, but nothing changes. It might be the juice is messing with the contact. hmmmm. I think I might just have to try a different top end. (or maybe a more reliable brand all-around).

this is usually a short or bad contact and almost always happens when the battery post inside the head has been pushed down from the contact on the clearo, tank whatever, the accepted fix for this is get a 510 to 510 adapter or just pull it up a bit with a paperclip or small screwdriver.

Both the Kanger T2 and the Vivi Nova look good. I'm looking at the base of the Vivi and wondering if it will attach to my battery without some adapter (I have an ECG O.V.I.S. LED. it's got 510 threads) I see the $10 Vivi Nova comes w/ 3 diff. atomizer heads (I don't even know which ohm rating mine is compatible with, or what that's all about). The Kanger says it may need an adapter; but I'm guessing it won't since the Stardust didn't? Is it worth having replaceable atomizers(Vivi), or just replace the $5 Kanger unit? Too much information? Not enough . . . . ? Regardless of picking a new carto-tank &/or clearo; what's this ohm (resistance) business all about, and how do I know what I got or what I need?

the vivi just comes with dff heads to try the 2.4 on there might be perfect. the T2 also has replacable heads / you just cant take the tank part off to clean it,
if your battery has the outer ego threads it will work just fine. both are better then the stardust clearos for sure...................

the nova will fit 510.

if your battery cannot change voltage the different heads will help you get a better vape, lower ohms= less voltage needed, higher ohms needs more.

Cool, so different ohm ratings won't hurt my unit, 1.8 ohm probably best for fixed 3.7 volt. Yeah, I think my threads are fine; I've got outer threads (@ about 11mm diam.) that fit the V2, and smaller inner threads that fit onto an eGo usb charger. So I'm pretty sure my knock-off is as eGo-esque as it needs to be. Thanks for all-ya-all's help! (I'm off to watch this 28min. video on rebuilding my "carburator")

I'm so sorry, I have "T2"'s, which I got form altsmoke...so......never mind...sorry about that. My T2's work great and always have, aside from the atty loosening up sometimes; hence the prior advice. :)
