You can get a Mini Lava for 39.99 at DV. I've been using one for over a month and I haven't had any problems at all. I've dropped it several times onto a hardwood floor and it didn't hurt it at all. MiniLava Variable Voltage Device - DiscountVapers.com It is very easy to adjust the voltage with just one click up or down in .1 v steps.

I just bought one. Looks like a no-brainer. Lilith, you should just jump on it. $40 - that's not much for a VV that seems to work fine.

And further research has lead me to this: Apollo VTube Kit
I think I'm going to order a SS model as I am concerned over the softness of aluminum-lets just say I can be klutzy and I have hardwood floors. lol Getting extra batteries as well, that's a must have IMO!

From their website:

Update: The stainless steel version of vtubes are not in stock yet (the new delivery date given by the factory is now 4/22 and we expect to start shipping to customers around 4/30. Sorry for the delay!). We are still taking pre-orders.

Hmmm..definitely food for thought!

Take a bite. :)

I was about to order a Smoktech VMax, but the only US vendor that I know of just sold out. At least I can check out VV for cheap with the Mini Lava. Might even become my new recommendation for my beginner friends.

I've been studying this stuff for a long, long time, and as I said, I'd just grab one.

It appears they don't even sell the appropriate charger on their site, which is frustrating to say the least!

No, they do. A few of 'em.

10440, 14500, 16340, 17335, 17500, 17670, 18500, 18650 Battery Charger

^^^ (Size AA, AAA, C, D, 9v (PP3), RCR123, Gumstick
10440, 14500, 16340, 17335, 17500, 17670, 18350, 18490, 18500, 18650)

Xtar MP2 dual channel / Dual Voltage Charger - DiscountVapers.com

Xtar WP2 II Charger

If you're going to continue vaping, you're going to need a charger anyway. Plus, you could start using lithium-ion batteries in all of your electronic devices that you now use disposables in. For example, I'm about to make the switch to Sanyo Eneloops in my digital camera, that eats alkaline AA's like Skittles.

Take the charger out of the equation, and you're looking at $58 for a variable voltage device with a spare AW battery. Not bad really.

I already have an AA/AAA charger, would that work?

Almost undoubtedly not. It's probably designed for 1.5 volt batteries, and not 3.7 volt. It also probably charges at the wrong amperage. It's critical to match batteries to a proper charger, especially with lithium ion batteries that are inherently more dangerous than other battery types.

Found this in the eCig suppliers forum with a 25% off coupon code, got the main kit (SuperNova) with 4 extra carts and 2 spare batteries for $88.39 shipped. Can't beat it from what I've seen!
Supernova / MiniNova Kit

Boy, I just don't know what to tell you on that one. I'm not at all familiar with it, and I'd have to do a boatload of research before I could say anything meaningful about it. Could be great, could be crap. My gut is that for that price range, I might get a Lavatube instead.

Get a Provari and some Boba's bounty and life will be good again...

Better yet, what Ponytail girl said. The Provari V2is the Holy Grail, and with a one-year warranty (two years for an extra $25), you'd probably be better off in the long run with one of those. Seriously. There's a good chance you'd end up spending more for less if you get something else. If you want to quit searching and wondering, just get one. You'll be vaping like a Queen. Look at the Mini as well, if the V2 is too big for you. They're supposed to be every bit as good as the V2, just slightly less battery life.

In conclusion: do it do it do it.

From what I can tell the SuperNova is a Lavatube with tank carto's. I've already ordered, so no turning back. Can't afford a Provari, it's well out of my price range. I tried looking in the classifieds too, but didn't find anything in my range. I will look into Boba's bounty, been meaning to try it, actually.

OK, hope it works out. (It should, if that really is a LavaTube in disguise).

Can't believe they put this absurdity on their website though:

"The Vapor Nine Supernova and Mininova are the most advanced electronic cigarettes on the market. [False] They have huge battery capacity, an LCD voltage adjustment screen, and work amazingly with the dual coil tank system. [An 18650 battery is fairly common among mods] Double the heating coils gives you thick clouds of vapor unmatched by the competition!" [Horsepoop - a Smoktech VMax would blow it away, and a ProVari V2, Darwin, and about a dozen others would "match" it.]

To explain that last one, the Smoktech VMax that is just coming out is a ProVari clone that uses two 3.7v lithium ion batteries instead of the Provari's one. Regulating 7.4 volts downward gives far more current flow than boosting 3.7 volts (mostly) upward. Might just give the ProVari a serious run for its money.

But outlandish marketing hyperbole aside, you probably did just fine, and you are going to love VV vaping. Congrats on pulling the trigger, and there's a good chance that it will perform just as well as a Provari. Probably not as bomb-proof, but not $213 either. Enjoy the vape :)

It's here, it's here!! I didn't even pay for express shipping!
I am in love! Hits beautifully, and juices that were tasting bad now taste good. I was very disappointed when I bought a bottle of Eternal Holiday from Ekachu (sp?) this past xmas, it didn't taste like I remembered. But on 4v its as amazing as I recall, the problem was my unit and not the juice.
