Hi all,

Finally getting desperate to quit the analogs for good, I started looking into e-cigs and bought a ProSmoke ~2 weeks ago. Though their customer service seems to be good, I'm not sure if this is the right product for me.

I've been trying to do research but the amount of conflicting information out there is too much to sift through and I thought I'd turn to the experts :)

Here's what I'm thinking, and I'd like suggestions as to what you think would be best:
1. I'd like to go VG and I've seen some people recommending Virgin Vapor for e liquids, which seems to have a great selection. Any opinions?
2. I'm clumsy and lazy so I need a PV/e-cig that won't be too complicated or clunky, with a million pieces to fix/replace/clean or complicated settings or 15 clicks each time I want to inhale.
3. With analogs I'm often told I "smoke fast" and I guess that means I will inhale deeply while vaping so I'd need enough battery power and liquid so that it wouldn't conk out every hour, if possible. (I'm still tyring to figure out the differences and +/- of drip, cartos and tanks)
4. I sit in front of a computer all day so what do you think of passthrough?

I love the color selections I saw on V4L but haven't seen that many good reviews for their PVs. I'd love to have something colorful, but more importantly is that I can find either a starter kit that fits my needs, or a great product with a site that isn't impossible to figure out what I need to order so that I can get a product to satisfy the analoger in me and get me off those nasty things once and for all!

I look forward to hearing your suggestions!

I agree, the Kgo will do you well. It works best for me with Boge Low Resistance Cartomizers. I dont like the dual coil stuff myself. They dont add performance in my mind and they hog tons of battery. Plus a dual coil wont hit as hard on a 3.7v as a single coil. Of course if you buy a variable volt device that is mute.

I have used ego t for over a year and a halfwith good results.... I use the reular ego batteries and they last almost half a day for me... More or less depending on thier age... 510 passthroughs work with egot and i keep one in my car for emergencies...

I will say you should expect to feel like you need an analog instead for a few days... I would let myself cheat in the beginning. After a couple of weeks the analogs started to lose their appeal and now i dont want them at all.. Everytime i have even tried convincedme more i dont want them...

Vapor 4 Life is a good company. They have lots of options and very easy to use. My mom an almost 60 year smoker started with a V4L pv and she liked it, it got her vaping. She still uses it occasionally when she wants something small. She quit about 80% with the V4L pv, and got an ego type pv and quit 100%. If she can do it, pretty much anyone can.

The downsize to smaller pvs, at least in my opinion is battery life and inability to use low resistance cartomizers/atty. That's a huge difference for some people.

If you want to ease into it, it's a good start. Will it be your forever pv? Probably not. But even people that start with an ego/kgo/gogo try something else.

If you want to go in that direction, sign up for their newsletter, they have great sales.

Thanks to all of you - I had no idea I'd receive such great answers so quickly!

Looks like I've been pointed in a few good directions here and I'll take a closer look at the equipment suggested.

I don't think anybody's yet commented on the VG from VirginVapor and I'd love to hear about that, or other recommendations for good quality, good flavor variety VG :D

E-liquid is just personal preference. I have never tried Virgin Vapors but heard many great things about it. Personally, I don't care for high VG juice. Flavors are muted and I just have a bad reaction to it. I get a very heavy feeling in my chest.

I like some- maybe 70pg/30vg or 80/20, but again, that's personal preference.

You're welcome. I DIY my juices so can't comment BUT:
PG= TH (throat hit) lung hit and enhances flavor- (watery)
VG= Vapor (very thick)
Nic juice= TH (watery)
Although some use 100% VG there are sometimes issues/ problems with the flow cuz it's so thick. Some add PGA or distilled water to thin it out.
Edit: normal PG/ VG ratio is approx. 75/ 25. I use 60/ 40 PG/ VG.

You asked a lot of questions :)

in terms of juice, it's a pretty personal thing, everyone has there favorites, but I really Gentlemen's Reserve from Canada. I also really like PinkSpot.

In terms of what to get, I would recommend an eGo setup. Easy, durable, still light weight and portable, and if you think you will out vape your device, which I did, the eGo with an 1100mAh bat will work really well for starters.

Check out this post I did for n00bs The Next Vaping Step « Big Vapers

In terms of passthrough, yeah they work, but a good bat should last 4-6hrs anyways and you should always have a second charged :)

Finally, in terms of juice mix, again personal, I prefer 50/50 or a standard 70/30 but 100% VG I find tough to vape and it breaks atties down quicker - it clogs them.

That's my 2cents, take it or leave it :) either way, good luck!

Sorry if I ask too many questions, but like I said, there's too much confusing info out there, I'm a noob and desperate to get off the analogs

I guess I was thinking VG because I've read that people had reactions to PG, but if I could find a good mix and don't have strange reactions to it, I'll be happy to try it out! Some of the sites I've checked don't make it easy to figure out what their ratio is and I'm no where near ready to think about DIY.

You all sure know how to make someone feel welcome BTW

As I was told by Vets when I first joined "We're very good at spending other people's money."
If unsure of the PG/ VG mix email and ask the vendor. They're happy to get inquiries about their products and want their customers to be satisfied with their purchase. It seems like a lot of work but once you find the right juice everything comes together.

I agree that Vapor4Life is a good company but from your description of your smoking habits I think you'd do better with a Kgo. You've mentioned Virgin Vapor so perhaps you should go ahead and buy a Kgo there, along with the 15-pack of 1.7 cartomizers and you'll be all set for hardware. The juices at Virgin Vapor are fabulous so don't hesitate to try them.

I like the 30/70 VG/PG mix best but you can also get a 50/50 ratio. I did try one flavor in 100% VG and I thought it was just ok - definitely inferior to the 30/70 - but you won't know what you like best until you try a few different ones. I always order the Extra Flavor option.

Hey, been smoking for 13 years. Smoked at least 20 analogs a day. Last year i purchased my first PV as more of a gimmick. I wasnt serious about quitting analogs at all. Used it the whole summer and didnt really use analogs that much. After the summer i stopped using my Vapor King totally. It sat in the drawer until 2 months ago. I decided to stop smoking analogs for good. Its been 67 days without and analog and i am not looking back. I tried to smoke one last night and felt sick for over an hour. Im sticking with my Vapor King eTank for good now. Some people dont like it, but it works the best for me. Message me anytime if you want advice on good flavors and things

Yes some do have a reaction to PG and either have to lower the PG or eliminate it completely but most aren't sensitive to the PG. I have severe allergies and the PG doesn't bother me BUT Ethyl Maltol/ cotton candy gives me problems so I have to be careful when mixing sweeteners.
