They just found that vaping was a much better experience than smoking ever was.

I am one of them.
:)

Ok, I can buy that thinking about it from your perspective.

You'll have to take my word for it that when you're 49 years old and have smoked the real stuff for 35 years you really have to want to quit smoking analogues.

Not sure I can agree with that.

There are many, many, many people on this forum that never wanted to quit.

Me too. I wasn't interested in quitting cigarettes (wanted to be a nonsmoker, but had given up on quitting), but discovered vaping and found that I liked that a hundred times better. I smoked one since I started vaping, which just confirmed how much I like vaping more!

Well, I'm 46 and had been smoking for 30 years. Is that close enough?

I'm in this boat. I gave up on trying to quit a long time ago, happy to smoke until the end. I gave e-cigs a test drive with an attitude of complete defiance. I saw one at 7-11, googled it and ended up ordering a 510.

I thought, "this is total bull-crap, something like this would only work if you really want to quit and I'm here to prove it. give me your best shot, liars!" (ok, I'm a bit confrontational... but my point is that I knew the reason I could never quit before is because I truly don't want to quit). I wanted to prove to the world and to myself that I was never going to be able to quit smoking, even with the best of equipment - to prove that it's impossible for me to quit.

Two days later and it was bye-bye analogs, hello e-cigarette.

(39 years old, smoked for 25 yrs -- camel filters or non-filters, never 'lights')
