Here's some insight:
I'm a woman. I'm not looking for a toy or hobby. I want a 'system' for lack of better word, that is EASY and RELIABLE. I want to quite smoking. Here's obstacles so far w/ecigs.

I finally found an E-Cig I love -- Joy 510
I finally found out that for me, cartos was the way to go

Now, I've started working on finding Cartos at affordable pricing and good flavors for me.

PROBLEMS:
I bought a lot of cartos from Vapor4Life. They don't fit a Joy 510 and I didn't see anywhere when ordering anything that pointed out what ecigs they fit. (so I didn't even think about compatibility)

I've spent about 3 months going through 5 e-cigs, 2 months ordering and finding juice I like, 2 VERY frustrating months with cartridges and filling before I found out about cartos. Now I've spent more money on cartos that don't even fit.

So far, this has cost me about $700!! and I still can't just pick up a dam e-cig smoke it, put it on a charger at night, and be happy.

Can someone please give me some tips. I'm out of money and feel like this experience has been a hobby I invested a lot of money in, still can't do, and about to loose interest in it.

Don't panic! Mrs. Penn, all you need is a 510-to-808 adapter, which many many vendors on ECF sell (and they're pretty cheap, as I recollect). I think Ikenvapes sells them; hopefully others will chime in with more suggestions and better specifics.

BTW, all/everything V4L sells is KR808-d1 threaded (compatible).

Good luck, and DON'T give up! You're this close to vaping happiness! :)

Mrs. Penn would suggest against the adapter method, only because 510's are regulated batts (3.2-3.4v depending on the manufacturer), where the batts V4L sells are 4.2 at start and drop to 3.7. There is a huge difference in vape warmth, th, potential amount of vapor the higher the voltage you use....

Oh CRAP. Are you telling me I've now ordered something else to put in the very box I just talked about, my Home Depot hardware box??????????????? See why I'm so frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

don't worry, mrspenn -- I think morandir just meant that you'll get a different experience using an adapter to fit the v4l carto on a 510 battery. You'll still be able to vape! But as your 510 batteries die off (and all batteries die some day) you can try replacing them with v4l 808 batteries that will give you more warmth and throat hit!
Good luck and keep us posted!

You can use the 808 adapter. There's nothing wrong with that. It's just some people (including me) that think the 808 is a better e-cig.Tons of people love the 510.I'd go with what I had and see if I liked it. If not V4L do have 808 bats that your cartomizers will fit.
I understand your frustration. This is a whole different world. Once you find everything you want you will be so happy to have quit smoking. It's cheaper too once you have everything.

Mrs. Penn understand completely. I've tried every non mod batt out there, buttloads of different cartos, atties, etc. There's a lot of options in the ecig world, and while adapters can make things far more flexible, unless you have a vari volt mod you won't get the same performance using say ego parts on a 4081 batt. It's why the starting cost of vaping is so high. Very few find the right batt/carto or atty/juice mix first time out (not to mention the right vendor for said supplies). To me nothing beats a king diamond batt with a wow carto with nuport wow juice, to someone else it would be an ego with a lr tank and filled with boba's bounty.... Don't worry, you'll find the right mix at some point, and you can always sell or pay forward that which didn't work for you...

Exactly Ms. Jbmcdan. :)

Thank you, Thank you. Ordered the adaptor right after the first reply. All this hardware! I've got a box that looks like a Home Depot bin now, lol. I'll get it, just wish there wasn't so many pieces to figure out, but better than the alternative which I see as dying before I have to.

I know exactly what you mean! My first 3 months of vaping saw me try 5 different brands of e-cigs before I settled on V4L's KR808D-1 & cartomizers. I've managed to pass some of the old stuff onto others, and still have stuff to pass on. Good luck finding what works for you!

FWIW i won an eGo kit a few weeks back and i got a 510 to 808 adapter for it and am using the V4L cool carts on it. it has a good battery life (but the switch is imo too easy to press...walking around i occasionally hear a POP from the eGo being activated and that sucks...but anywho...) the random unintentional battery activation does kinda reduce that slight advantage. even though i'll like use both the eGo & the V4L batts the V4L batts beat the eGo hands down imo. but if i find someone interested in e-cigs that doesn't want to go buy one i'll likely just give them the eGo...it's much better than the gas station models they might try and turn them away from vaping...
