Yes mam!! I researched like crazy on ECF and other places before I made my first purchase, UNFORTUANTLY I still bought the joye 510 when I could have gotten an eGO or riva for the same price or cheaper... being hooked on that whole "needs to look like a cig" mentality. Research is an absolute MUST when buying any new product IMO Anyhow, you are a PIF Queen! From what I've seen you've always been quick to help in any situation! ((hugs))

I think its great to help, you know that,I just think its important for people to get online and get the information. They need to know what they will need and where to get it.Research is very important to success when it comes to ecigs.

Your absolutely right.

My friend knows he wants to change, we talk about that kind of stuff almost every day. But he needs a push at times, so do i. I have really bad anxiety, so he will wake me up and drive me to an appointment when i need the help. I feel like this is one of those times with him.

e/ Research is crucial, ive done so much on this site, i hope i can be his hub of information for the time being and then get him to come on here. He did a lot of research into the ego when it first came out, he got all excited but it was too expensive

For 3.7V, an 808 starter kit from vaporsetc (new Forum Supplier, but I've had good experience with them as a regular Supplier before) runs about $33 after discount (Vapezone). It doesn't get you to XL or Mega 380 mAh batteries, but it should work to get going, and if it takes your friend should be able to use some $ saved to then get bigger batteries and/or a PCC.

Best of luck!

Ok true, its not much to invest when you think of the cost of a pad habit. However, for someone who struggles to make it to that next pack, yet continues smoking because they are so horribly addicted, do you think they can manage to quit smoking entirely for a week or two, only relying on bumming smokes, so they can afford to invest in a PV which they aren't sure will even work for them?? The OP's question was simple and straightforward. What can I get for 30 bucks that will help my friend quit. This is also entirely do-able. Especially since he can provide his friend with some juice. Problem solved. Not trying to be harsh, but the response just baffled me, and I found it very insensitive and uninformative. We are all here to help each other!!!

I wasnt trying to be insensitive, and I do think its great that his friend wants to help, the more people who quit smoking the better.... Ive been telling all my smoker friends about it, handing out business cards from vendors, and sharing as much information as I can.

Point is, if his friend really wants to try, he is going to have to sacrifice a little on his own.

this guy (who is doing a good deed, dont get me wrong) has saved $30 in 3 weeks to help his friend. Assuming his friend is a PAD smoker, in that same 3 weeks, has spent $126 (based on $6 per pack for 21 days). I think if he is really willing to try he could at least match the $10 a week investment (70 cents a day) that his friend is putting in to it.

Again, Im not trying to undermine what the OP is doing to help his friend, I think thats great, and he truly is a caring friend..
