Ok true, its not much to invest when you think of the cost of a pad habit. However, for someone who struggles to make it to that next pack, yet continues smoking because they are so horribly addicted, do you think they can manage to quit smoking entirely for a week or two, only relying on bumming smokes, so they can afford to invest in a PV which they aren't sure will even work for them?? The OP's question was simple and straightforward. What can I get for 30 bucks that will help my friend quit. This is also entirely do-able. Especially since he can provide his friend with some juice. Problem solved. Not trying to be harsh, but the response just baffled me, and I found it very insensitive and uninformative. We are all here to help each other!!!
I wasnt trying to be insensitive, and I do think its great that his friend wants to help, the more people who quit smoking the better.... Ive been telling all my smoker friends about it, handing out business cards from vendors, and sharing as much information as I can.
Point is, if his friend really wants to try, he is going to have to sacrifice a little on his own.
this guy (who is doing a good deed, dont get me wrong) has saved $30 in 3 weeks to help his friend. Assuming his friend is a PAD smoker, in that same 3 weeks, has spent $126 (based on $6 per pack for 21 days). I think if he is really willing to try he could at least match the $10 a week investment (70 cents a day) that his friend is putting in to it.
Again, Im not trying to undermine what the OP is doing to help his friend, I think thats great, and he truly is a caring friend..
