Hello all,
I am new to the site and new to vaping. I have been a smoker for 22 years and really feel it is time for me to quit. Years ago when the tech first came out I tried an e-cig and was not impressed, I have now purchased a new rig and am happy with the results but I still cant seem to fully put down the pack of smokes. I know it is simply a matter of will power or mind over matter but does anyone have any advice?
Thanks,
Gregg
Be gentle with yourself. Give it time.
A buddy of mine has a similar challenge - he hasn't made the switch to 100% vaping yet. But he's cut a 2 pack a day habit down to a 1 pack a day habit - and it started because a few months ago I threw a couple of white cloud fling minis at him that were too high nic for me.
Now he's the happy owner of an eroll.
Even if he never makes it completely off analogs, he's cut his analog use in half. Possibly more. He texted me in shock a few weeks ago when he realized that he'd stopped for gas and didn't feel any need to buy analogs, even though he only had a half a pack in his pocket.
That's a win. My guess is that over time, he'll eventually walk away from analogs. But I'd still celebrate the win of cutting down on your analog consumption for now and replacing some of it with vaping.
There are other things in analogs that are addicting - not just nicotine. So give yourself time.
