I would post this in the V4Life forum, but I don't have enough posts apparently!
So anyway, I ordered my first kit from V2 cigs last week. I think it was fortunate that I ordered their "Red" cartos, because I like the flavor and probably would have given up on the whole thing otherwise!
I also ordered some of their "Congress", but I don't care for that at all.
After some reading here and other places, I decided to order some things from V4Life and decided that the Wow Cowboy was probably the closest thing to the Red I've been vaping.
I was wrong, and it actually reminds me more of the V2 Congress. I'm not sure how to describe it, but I suppose it could be a nutty flavor?
I just want something (for now) that just tastes like a good old cigarette! I have to say, the V2 Red has done it for me! I haven't had but about 4 analogs all week, mostly as a reward for doing so well!
I don't want to drop the ball now, so I'm looking for suggestions.
Would the Kamel be closer to a real tobacco flavor? The Gunslinger, No. 7?
Ideas?

I have just received my order from vikingvapor.com and was very impressed with their fast shipping, price, and flavors. You might check them out. I have noticed that everything from China e-juice to USA top grade stuff every manufacturer varies and by changing your mix (pg/vg) and nic level you can invariably alter the flavor as well. I think that if you can find a decently priced US supplier and try their 10-15ml bottles in different mixes and/or nic levels you may find the perfect mix that will keep you happily vaping for hours. Just remember to keep track of what you order and what you like the most. I have also found that it is nice to change it up once in a while. I have several flavors I switch around throughout the week. Good luck and keep up the great work. Doesn't it feel great to be smoke free!?!?!?!

From what I've experienced and read, you aren't going to find a juice that really tastes like a cigarette. It just doesn't exist. My favorite tobacco flavors are the ones that seem most popular in general: RY4 (sometimes called "R4" or "Our 4") and American 555 (sometimes "American 55"). A lot of people like Johnson Creek's tobacco, but it seems overly harsh to me.

I'm a DIY proponent. I convert a lot of my girlfriends to vaping, and have done so by giving them juice I mix up myself. This one gets rave reviews. Since I don't sell this stuff but rather give it away, I'll share my formula.

In 6ml of juice (use one of the ejuice calculators to dial in how much nic/pg/vg):
Blue Mist Seedman's Virginia Fire Cured: 4 drops
Blue Mist Blackjack: 1 Drop
Flavour Art Shade Tobacco: 1 Drop
The Perfumer's Apprentice DK Tobacco Base: 1 Drop
The Perfumer's Apprentice Jamaican Rum: 1 Drop

Allow to sit 3 days, capped, in a warm place for flavor development.

I personally don't like it because I prefer tobacco flavors to be a lot lighter; but my die-hard heavy smoker friends love it.

Thanks for all the recommendations! I went ahead and ordered a few from Backwoods Brew, now I just hope it gets here soon!
I have about 3 cartos of the V2 Red left. I wish they sold the e-juice, I really do like it.
The Cowboy Wow juice has some nasty burnt flavor to it. I guess they're trying to imitate a burning cigarette?
If that was the first flavor I tried, I would have probably chucked the whole set up and gone back to analogs!

Somewhere out there
Also try some DIY flavors to make your own juice, it is alot of fun! I am really enjoying Flavour Art tobacco flavors of Camtel and oRYental4. Hint, mix them weak, about 1-5% max in your choice of nic liquid. Then let them steep at least a week, they get better with age. Just incase you get adventurous! LOL bnrk

Vaping has a learning curve. You have to learn a lot of stuff. One of the things you have to learn is where to get juices you like. And that's a very important step.

If you have juice that you like, pretty much any working PV will do the job. But until you find a juice you like, it doesn't matter what PV you use, you still aren't going to enjoy it.

Some people like a lot of different flavors, so finding a "good" flavor isn't very hard. Some of us have to work at it more to find flavors we like.

Hey Warren just wanted to add this.
I started with v2 and smoked their red prefilled cartos for month and a half.
Money adds up quick doesn't it, it's a shame they dont sell their juices only prefilled carts.
I like the smell of the reds when you open a pack of cartomizers has that nicotine aroma.
Anyways I have tried several juices. these are two juices i find equally as satisfying and very affordable.
DEKANG'S 555 and DEKANG'S desert ship. I know you said you did not like nutty flavors but these two are great and have very little nutty undertones. So if ur puchases don't work out give these a shot i think our taste buds are very similar from what i read from ur post. Good luck!

I'm just glad i have a vendor right down the road. Makes it very easy to throw on a drip-tip and head over for a taste test. The big problem in this whole thread though is that it all tastes different to everone so good luck bro but try to find a localish vendor make the trip and buy alot of what you like. I appreciate the references, even if I don't get to them! I'm just glad I hit on one I like right off the bat! I wish there was somebody close by, but I've yet to find them. You are all great to chime in with all the advice, I appreciate it.
If it wasn't for the internet, this (and a lot of other interests) just wouldn't be the same, would it? It's always nice to get a perspective from around the world!

Welcome to ECF. This place is the best at finding out what is what in vaping. I am new to vaping too but I love Backwoods Brew juices!! My two favorites are the Honey Flue Cured and Cherry Tobacco. I also love his Vanilla Bean and Virginia. I have ordered alot of his juices. I want to try his two legendary flavors eJoker and RY4 but they sell out almost immediately when he can get a batch mixed. The HFC is the closest that I have found to a Marlboro light so far as my taste buds go. The Backo to me is closer to a Marlboro Red. I also have his 555 and Casablanca that I haven't tried yet. I don't like nutty flavors since they seems to take over and thats all you taste in the juice. Hope this helps. Happy Vaping :)
