ive been using normal ego batteries for a while now... snore. i tried an ego twist out. it was a little better. im looking for suggestions on a good apv to try. cheap is good but i want something safe as well. i really want to be able to check my ohms and try out variable wattage instead of voltage. i will need 2 batteries and a charger as well. i love my pyrex aro so that has to fit on it. i hope i posted this in the correct spot and look forward to hearing some awesome suggestions. thanks!

Im torn between the Sigelei Zmax v5 kit $79, comes with 2 batts and a charger, or possibly the Sigelei 13 mech mod, $27 online...

thank you for the suggestions im really not looking for a mech mod. the zmax does look nice, i had not looked at that one before. 79 bucks isnt bad but i would like something a little cheaper if i can find it.

Batteries: Genuine AW Batteries at RTD Vapor

Charger: http://www.amazon.com/Nitecore-Inte...=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1382168257&sr=1-1 or http://www.amazon.com/Nitecore-i2-I...=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1382168257&sr=1-2

Mods:
$32.62 Vamo V3 Variable Voltage Mod / E-Cigarette Battery Compartment - carbon black / chromed / with extension part at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$37.21 INNOKIN iTaste SVD Telescoping Variable Voltage E-Cigarette Mod / Battery Compartment at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Smoktech SID VV/VW MOD [05-C-4-3] - $33.99 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail

Still going to cost you about the same in the end, but the AW's are the most recommended mod batteries out there. The Nitecore chargers are the cheapest of the recommended chargers, and that's the best deal I've seen on them. Fast tech ships for free, but it will take a while to get to you. They sell a lot of knock-offs, but those are genuine mods. They also have the SiD, but it's about $5 more than at health cabin. I'm not sure what HC charges on shipping. You may be better off getting a SiD at FT, if you like that one better.

Do not skimp out on batteries and chargers. Make the investment in good ones. Shop around for good deal on mods, buy mods from China, buy cheap knock-offs, have a ball with your cheap mods. Just as long as you have solid, safe batteries and a quality charger.

Edit: After looking into it, FT will be cheaper on the SiD too: http://www.fasttech.com/products/14...entic-smoktech-s-i-d-variable-voltage-wattage

For legal reasons, I have to say that using the manufacturer supplied charge cable will be best for whichever you decide to purchase.

(However, in my experience, I am able to charge my MVP with the same charge cable that I use for my cell phone; whether it be my car or laptop USB cable. However, if you decide to try this and your house blows up, your spouse leaves you and you are left with a permanent orange afro don't say you weren't warned.)

$31.19 Vamo V2 Variable Voltage Mod / E-Cigarette Battery Compartment - stainless steel / with extension part at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

^^^This is what I use. It has VV and VW, ohm checker, and everything else you mentioned in the OP. You can get it in a kit from the same vendor that comes with batteries and a charger. The link is for the mod only. And make sure it is Stainless Steel (the one in link is SS). I suggest getting batteries and charger in the U.S. since the company is in China and you may have problems trying to get batteries overseas. The battery suggested is 18650 IMR or two 18350 batteries together. But I like using one 18650. My shipping only took ten days.

I've been through my share of mods, Lavatube, Evic, Sigelei Zmax. This one works just as good as all the others.

I've never gotten batteries from them. I only read about the problems ppl had getting batteries from overseas. You shouldn't have a problem getting just the mod.
i actually have purchased batteries in the past from FT with no problem but for now i think i will purchase them in the US because it seems like maybe they were cutting some corners if im reading things correctly. I'm pretty sure im going to try the itaste MVP so now i just need to find a cheap US vendor for it.

The MVP 2 is my favorite so far. vv and vw. Had ego's and a twist, but the 2600mah battery lasts long at consistent power for a great vape.

i really like the battery size on it. i have a couple of 1100 mah batteries and they tend to get pretty low before the day is over. im pretty sure i wont have that problem with the MVP 2

You've gotten good recommendations I think.
VAMO, SVD, Sigelei SMax...

I THINK FTech has workarounds on the shipping - if it's a big price diff, and you can wait a couple weeks, I might give it a shot.
I got my SVD from them (before the shipping trouble started) and it's perfect - a real good device.
Since then I got a VAMO, and they each have little plusses and minusses, but I'm happy with both!
