Practice, Practice, Practice.
About the 10th or 15th time you do it, it may be close to perfect.
Use the zelos to adjust your wattage up or down depending on the resistance of the coil you build.

Best of luck

I have tried it 4 or 5 times. My advice, don't bother. Can it be done? Sure, like you have seen people do it. Is it easy and worth the headache, nope, not in my opinion. Building a coil is not hard to me, I have built thousands over the years. But I have yet to rebuild a "prebuilt" head and have it be worth the effort. Especially with the aspires.

I may try to rebuild the 3 coil head in my new aspire athos though. It looks like it might be easy to do.

I agree with Sonic, if you want to build just get a RTA and have at it. You won't be sorry.

I also have a kanger subtank mini and that come with rebuild section, or you can use pre made coil heads.

If you look at the original BVC coils, they use wires with non-resistance leads and the junction is down within the coil itself, the last wrap on each end is not heating and just acts to form the cotton, and the junctions between the insulator and the legs are also not heating. The NR wire will probably still be shiny while R wire is black. People have been replacing NR-R-NR type coils with regular wire a long time, but I wouldn't recommend it and doubly so with these chimney-type coil head structures.
