There are lots of good brands. If you're not a smoker, no brand is good. Try drinking a beer to calm your nerves.
A lot is going to depend on what you want and how much you smoked.
If you want something that looks, feels and acts like a cigarette, check out the Smokeless Image Volt. If you want something bigger that is about the size of a shapie or medium size cigar, get a kgo with some Phoenix cartomizers.
The Volt batteries will last you about 2-4hours of actual vaping depending on how much and how often you puff. The kgo will last between 6-11 hours depending on which size battery you buy and how much and how often you puff.
Check out my video that demonstrates the smokeless image volt. It goes over their products. When you get to the part that discusses the x2 battery, that is the same thing as a kgo except different threads. This way you can see the difference in size.

Both the small volt battery and the kgo or x2 have the same exact amount of power. It's just that the small volt batteries hold less charge since they are obviously smaller.

E-cigarettes are meant as harm reduction for cigarette smokers. I wouldn't suggest to anyone to try it if they weren't already hooked on cigs.
If you're really dead set on e-cigarettes, maybe try one of the disposables with 0 nicotine content. They can last quite awhile if you're not using them as often as a smoker would.

There are a lot more than you realize on this site. I'm 100% against non-smokers using e-cigs.
at the very least, I hope non smokers stay away from them until we KNOW for a fact that they are not dangerous,,,,,,If studies are ever done proving that they are safe, then go for it,,,,,,until then, I hope it's about reduced risk for people who are at much higher risk (i.e. smokers)
