HELP! Most Vape/Consistency...

Okay, please help... A friend and I have been vaping for about two or three months now. I did not quit analogs until 11 days ago and she has not quit yet. We both have several DSE901's and Medium Johnson's Creek juices. She is/I was a very heavy smoker - 2to3 packs daily depending how late I'm up (I'm a writer). Tonight, I am disappointed to admit, I ran out for a pack of analogs. Why? Because my jaw aches and I'm simply exhausted by the inconsistency of my devices A N D the constant upkeep/maintenance of the atomizers/fluff/batteries. As I was finally complaining to my friend tonight, she revealed that she has had the same issues and quit vaping a few days ago (although temporarily - she plans to go back on them in a day or so). To make my long story short, can all the long term vapers that were HEAVY analog smokers give us an honest answer as to which product supplies the best vape/throat kick, and requires the least tech maintenance? Please include a link or info regarding where they can be purchased. Hasn't anyone actually tested these devices against one another and come up with a scientific answer regarding the power and reliability of the various e-cigs/screwdriver/mods?
HELP, please! My analogs taste terrible and I love to vape...I am just exhausted by it all and tired of my jaw aching :(
Thanks for all...Brooklyn

Well, sounds like you haven't found the e-cig that's right for you.

Some people are perfectly happy with their 901 model (like my son) and some people need the manual switch e-cigs that provide the awesome vapor and throat hit (like me).

The e-cigs with a manual switch are your best choice if you're looking to really get off the analogs and get lots of vapor and a good quality throat hit.

You can't go wrong with the 510, screwdriver (SD), the GG, or the Prodigy.

Take your pick - these models all work great.

The higher you go in volts (the GG and Prodigy are currently the highest) the more satisfied you'll be with vapor and throat hit. I have a GG and Prodigy on order and am SO looking forward to the throat hit that mega power will give me.

I currently vape with a 510 and the SD.

The higher you go with nic strength, the more satisfied you'll be with throat hit. However, I can't vape 36 mg without getting sick so I had to go for more power.

Hope this helps and good luck!!

I like the 510/Yeti passthrough with a manual switch (gives you better control). The 901s are a good place to start but you have to basically do light primer puffs to get it going otherwise you will find your jaw aching from sucking too hard ;) I prefer the passthroughs because I spend a lot of time at the computer. I have also heard a lot of good things about the SD but have never tried it.
There is a bit of up keep needed with any of these devices but I have found vaping to be worth the extra effort.
There are several good suppliers listed at the bottom of the forum page. I personally go with altsmoke.com because he's my son but I do know he gives very good customer service and would be more than willing to help you with any questions you might have.

A major headache with these devices is the related to the constant need to change batteries throughout the day because of their short life, and the potential to foul of the battery if any e-liquid seeps into them. Cartridges, while convenient, are annoying and messy when you have to change them or top them off throughout the day. Automatic battery e-cigs have an annoying cut-off time that never allowed me to produce an overly satisfying draw.

mamu's suggestions (above) are pretty much right on the money. A manually-activated device with a long-lasting and/or more powerful battery will provide more consistant vapor production and better throat hit. These devices often will require more e-liquid to operate, but can be much more satisfying to those who were heavy smokers. I have built a few high voltage mods and they are satisfying. You can vape on a lower nic juice while still getting excellent hits.

Atomizers, well, they just die. Keep several on-hand all the time.

Well.... i need to unburden here with this post....

I fell almost like u Brooklyn... I'm a heavy smoker and i'm still fighting with e-cigs.... I love so much to vape.... for me, now, is much better than analogs... but i can't quit with analogs yet...
For now, i'm having problem with the atty.... batteries and cart refills/juice isn't a problem now. The maintenance of e-cig is a big fact that don't let me stop smoke analogs.
First impression when i receive my e-cigs is... wow.... this will be my new friend for my entire life.... but.... when the problems begins to appear..... omg....
My problem is.... always that i say: OK, now i'm read to quit with analogs... something bad happens with my e-cig.... :( and i have to stay one day more without vaping.

Now, i'm adjusting me with mini e-cigs, with your maintenance and cares. I fell that I am almost adapting me on e-cigs and i will can quit smoking analogs. I can a good kick with my DIY menthol liquid that's satisfy me.

I would like, one day, to purchase a SD!

I wish to you GOOD LUCK on e-cig's world!!!

Be sure you have a 4 hole atty. The ones (and passthru) from ecigmall are the best I've found for my 801's. I use the pen style because of the larger battery and cart, and I always carry a 3ml bottle of juice to top off the cart. At home I use a passthru with a Radio Shack AC/USB adapter.

I smoked at least a pack a day for 50 years, and now I don't. I guess you have to be a bit of a tinkerer to deal with ecigs. It's almost a hobby with me now.

No analogs for 10 weeks and no desire.

A lot of good suggestions.........and maybe it's just me but I was over 2 packs a day and would have never quit with medium juice....I would also recommend u buy some 24mg juice and if it's too strong u can cut it in half. The strong stuff got me over the hump and now I've gone back down..

My theory is heavy smokers are VERY dependent on the nic(just my 02., but it was a night and day difference for me)

You could probably just get a ScrewDriver, GG or Prodigy, and keep your current 901 atomizers. If you get one that runs at 5 or 6 volts, you will definitely get a throat kick, and tons of vapor. You just gotta keep your atty wet, and it will be a slight hog. I am thinking of trying a pen-style atty so I can keep more fluid in mine, but my 901's on my 6 volt mod can outperform the 510 out of the box. I haven't had the guts to try the 510 on 6 volts, cuz it does darn good off the stock batteries. I am going to make a 3.7 volt mod for it, just so I can get more life out of it.
