Help! Need to convince parents!

Ok,
So I am new to this forum. I asked the other day what i should buy. Someone suggested the Ego-AS for starters $17.51 EGO-AS 6-in-1 USB Rechargeable 900mAh Electronic Cigarettes Health Keeping Set - black / US plug adapter at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Then I also found this Ego EVOD
$20.04 EGO-EVOD 6-in-1 Rechargeable 900mAh Electronic Cigarettes Set - double e-cigarette / black / 2.6

Now which do you think would be better? Are either of them any good? I am having alot of trouble convincing my mom to get this for me as i am jobless and she would be paying for it, but seeing as though she is paying for my cig habit now, this would be way cheaper!!

I just want to make sure if i do get this it will last me long enough, and i will be satisfied with the throat hit, amount of vaper and the amount of battery life. I figured between two batteries i should be able to smoke all day? Do you think i would get that long out f them and then charge them both up while i am sleeping for the next day??

The next question is ejiuce. How long will it last me? How much will i prob. be spending in a month? What are the best brands to get? I really want to commit to this and it sucks that i have no support nor money to do so!!

I bought a cheapo ecig just to try it out, it sucked but i let my mom and her boyfreind try. He was on the bandwagon till this morning. He claimed after he tried the cig he was up all night coughing his brains out. I am like you are so full o f s****. That was a cheap one anyway the one i want to get is way better.

So I just need to go about this in the best way to get what i need, and not be dissatisfied or have to return something cuz its not up to par, or drop it all together cuz i wasnt satisfied with what i bought.

But i cant spend too much money, so its like what choices do i have?! God this sucks :(

the general rule of thumb although not always accurate is 900mah should be about 9 hours of vape time. That will depend a lot on how much you use it now the juice is something you wont know until you have used it for a few days. I go through about 3mls a day but I know people who use a lot more and a lot less. For the price both of those are great deals for someone starting out. I hope you enjoy your journey. :toast:

Yeah, I was asking for help on what to get, Now I have narrowed it down to two and am asking for input. Thanks for the attitude, is that really necessary? Just because I said my parents were paying for it doesnt mean anything, you dont know my story or why that is the case, and if you did I am sure you would feel like a total jerk for making that rude comment.

Just to let you know that if you are expecting those batteries to be EVOD batteries, they are not!
We ordered this a few weeks ago and got so caught up in the nice low price that we failed to read the description carefully.
Also, we were sent a 650mah instead of a 900mah.
When we emailed a picture of what we received (along with a ruler to show the size) we got a response back saying....
"Sorry for your loss"
What?
My parrot didn't die.:glare:
So, I know it was my fault for not reading the description but the size was not what I ordered.

C'mon guys do we really need the off topic and borderline insulting posts? OP is just asking for help, no one here knows his situation and he did not ask for our opinion on that.

Back to the topic. That eGO-EVOD kit will work just fine, but I suggest you visit a local Brick&Mortar, or local Vape Shop. Most that I know of let you sample flavors, using a standard eGo device. You would then be able to decide for yourself if that type of setup will work for you.

Use THIS LINK to search for the closest B&M to wherever you are. Heck who knows you can even take your parents with you if you decide to purchase something there, just know that the prices in the store WILL be higher than what you would pay from Fasttech.

Good luck on your attempt to quit and start vaping. Hope everything works out for you, and please just disregard the ignorant posts in this thread. This community can do better than that.

I'm letting the OP know that if he is expecting it to be an EVOD battery, it is not.
Also, if he wants his parents to be successful in quitting the bad habit, I would think he would want their experience to be a good one.
If I tried vaping for the first time and it went dead on me, I'd be off to the store to buy a pack of smokes.
I'm hopeful that their first try will be a pleasant one.
Good luck in your search, OP

If you don't smoke a lot, one 900 mah battery could get you through the day. You would have to vape quite a lot to get through two in a day. For sure, there will be people here who can crush those batteries in 24 hours but for me, a moderate vaper, it would be difficult.

I haven't bought from fasttech so I can't comment on their service or quality. The "evod" products they carry seem to be fakes (a relative term in this business) and while shipping will be free, the wait will be weeks. In my opinion, as another poster suggested, a local vape store is a great place to learn what will work for you. Just try to avoid places that charge excessively for cigarette-style e-cigs. Maybe take Mom with you.

Switching to vaping usually means spending a bit of money up front and that can be hard to swallow. But, it can also pay for itself very quickly if you can control the desire to acquire more kit and supplies. My first kit cost $80 CDN (2 650 spinners, 2 clearomizers) plus some extra for liquids. The whole lot paid for itself in under 3 weeks of not smoking.

If you do the math and figure out how much you will be saving your mother by not smoking, and make a solemn promise that however things work out, you will not smoke another cigarette until you vape kit is "paid for", it may make the pill easier to swallow. If it ultimately costs nothing more than it does now AND is a major benefit for your health, it should be a really easy sell.

A quick word on battery safety: although it is very unlikely, a faulty e-cig could start a fire if left unattended on the charger overnight. It's safer to stay near it, just in case.

Wow, what a story. I really hope this all works well for you. Clearly, you are on the right track here. If you haven't vaped before, determining where to start can be daunting, as there are so many choices out there today. You're doing the right thing by asking the veterans here about their opinions. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. You do seem sincere, and that's a very good place to be starting from. If you so seriously want to quit, vaping may be the best way to do it, and I for one, hope your Mother understands how important that this step will mean to your health, and in other areas. Welcome aboard, congrats on getting here, and vape on! By the way, you will be wanting to upgrade either kit in a month or two. It just comes with the territory, and it's just how we are. See it everyday here.

Lol thank you guys! I am female btw just to let you all know, i know the name is a bit confusing, sounds like a guys name.

Oh and that is so funny jefsview that you posted that i was just about to come on here and ask about it after reading through a ton of threads. Now the top of that, is that a clearomizer with like a cover on it or is it a cartomizer?
