Hello everyone,
I am new and do NOT want to spend one more penny before getting advise.

Firstly, I started this journey a month ago after trying a disposable e-cigarette. I bought the E-Health starter kit and it was okay and got me through the month. This past weekend I went to a place in Michigan called Gilbraltor to buy juice, I saw a guy who didn't have a large selection at all, so I went a bit further to a display run by a very nice man. He had the VictoryTek pen type e-cigs. After trying one I liked it and decided to purchase the kit which I love.

Anyway, I was told that e-juice is dangerous due to the poison of nicotine, therefore he doesn't sell it, but I thought that one can buy e-juice with 0 ml of nicotine? Also I need to know if juice can be added to the pen type cigs? I purchased 3 boxes of 5 filter looking smokes that you place into the cig. The flavors that they carry are vanilla, coffee, and menthol which I really like, but feel that I will go broke dealing with that type of purchase. All I want is something that will last me a while with no nicotine. Can someone steer me in the right direction, I am very confused and getting discouraged:confused:.

Thanks

Go here......http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ping-illustrated-guide-e-cigs-part-1-6-a.html and read about the different kinds. Yours looks like the DSE801. Yes it can be refilled....I'm pretty sure. I don't know of any that can't be. And jj2 said it......if you don't need any nicotine, you can easily (and cheaply!) make your own juice. But.....the guy is not being totally accurate about nicotine. It is "poison" if you drink it! But the little bit that is in each cartridge or that is in a bottle of ejuice is safe and fine, as far as we know. He just wanted you to buy his expensive cartridges, or he didn't really know much about what he was selling, IMO. Anyway, go to the library and see if that DSE801 isn't just like yours. You just add juice to the cartridge. There are lots of places here to buy juice....and I think you can get zero nic juice from any of them.

You can refill the carts that came with your 801. After you use the juice in the carts and get some new juice. Go to walmart and get some polyfill in the craft section. Drop about 15 drops in the cart and then put enough polyfill in the cart to keep it from leaking then put about 3- 5 drops of juice on the polyfill and put the cartridge back on the atty and vape away. An easier option, however, is to remove the cart and polyfill then drip 5 drops of juice directly on the atomizer, put the empty cart back on the atty and vape away. The 801 is actually my favorite of all attys and I always drip and never mess with the carts. I currently use my 801 atty on a box mod.

I'm not clear if you're broke or want to avoid going broke. If it's the latter, most of the suppliers have a 0 nic juice. Tasty Vapor does a juice of the week which is only $10 for I think a 30 mL bottle of juice. Freedomsmoke USA has great flavors in 0 nic (unfortunately I think their samplers are all 24 nic). Vapor Renu also does a wide range of 0 nic juice for I think $8 or so for 30 mL. So if you're looking for good flavors, 0 nic, in order to refill your cartos, you've got a whole lot of choices, at both the higher and lower end of the scale, or you can make it yourself.

They are trying to get you to buy cartridges after cartridges to make money. The pen style ecig does (as they all do) take eliquid which you can purchase online for much less. And don’t believe them if they told you one cart = x number of smokes...that bull. Generally the ecigs that are sold in malls or places like Gibraltar are overpriced and not as efficient as more reputable vendors who sell more reputable brands and styles online, but you came to the right place for figuring this all out. I tried my first ecig at Gibraltar myself, I live in Michigan too.
Anyway I checked out the website for victorytek ecigs and saw the pen style you purchased, and it looks like it is a real pen style model but it may be a knock off of the real thing, or just bought and rebranded, its all very hard to tell and not necessarily a bad thing if you like it and it works.
Pen styles are good units in general but you may also consider for future reference a joyetech 510, kr808, or an ego. Those models are great for satisfying heavy smokers. With some ecigs you use cartridges that are designed to be refilled with liquid and some also take cartomizers which are units that combine the atomizer and liquid cartridge all in one but you can still refill cartomizers with liquid. There SO many different places to purchase bottles of eliquid in every flavor imaginable, and plenty that offer zero nic liquid and what ever pg/vg ratio you prefer. SO many, that none are coming to mind..... You can post a question in the general eliquid discussion and ask about places that sell juice with no nic and provide the flavors you like. Also keep in mind that if the base of the juice is propylene glycol it will give a more intense throat hit, while if it is vegetable glycerin it will provide a more mellow throat hit and more vapor. Nic juice isn’t so dangerous that he shouldn’t have been selling it...I mean come on, the ecigs cant function without it and it can be handled very safely, even if you get some on you just rinse it off and life goes on.
You dont have to use zero nic if you are afraid nic is to dangerous, it just has to be used properly but if you really want no nic than that no problem.
You can buy the cheaper Dekang juice (chinese imported) or custom mixed juice.

Thanks Zelphie,
so is it best to just order online? I've been searching all over to find juice and that is what led me to Gibraltor some 40 miles away. I am in Waterford. I went to Mt. Clemmons and was considering going to the one in Taylor. I will check out the sites online. Not sure if mine is a knock off but it is better than the e-health cig that I have. I will check out the 510, 808, and ego.

It is best to order online. There are MANY reputable vendors out there. To name a few are Tasty Vapor, Vaporbomb and Ms T's bakery ( all of which have forums here at the ECF ) I have ordered from all three of these vendors and can give a favorable review to all three. Vaporbomb juice needs to sit for a week though. After that its amazingly delicious! And Tasty Vapor is running a sale on Customize your own juice this week ( until friday ) only $10 bucks for 30ml which is a great price. Ms T's runs specials too and has the best Horchata flavor Ive found. All three are fairly quick at getting it out to you and you receive email updates all the way through the process ( ie order received, mixing order, shipped )

As far as devices go, you'll find that the vast majority of vapers use a 510 or are upgrading to the eGo. You really can't go wrong with either of those models. Different vendors have different prices and often run sales, so you don't have to spend a fortune. Greenhouse One is currenlty running a sale on eGo's for only $49.99, which I believe is the best price this week. But like I said, vendors are always running a sale on something so look for the best prices before you buy. ( Be sure to ask here on these forums if a price is reasonable BEFORE you purchase. You will save alot of money that way. These people are fantastic )

Lastly, you mentioned that e juice can be dangerous, which is true if youre reckless with it. If you get a little bit on you though, simple wash it off with soap and water and your fine. I often get a little on my fingers when Im refilling a bunch of carts and Ive never had side effects. I vape 36mg and 24mg ( which is considered high ) It's really only strengths that are much higher or even pure nicotine that are extremely dangerous. DON'T DRINK THE JUICE! and youll be fine.

hope that helped

Hi CS,
It was the salesman who suggested that I not buy ejuice with nicotine. He said that one drop on the tongue can stop the heart...I was scared to death being new at all of this. I was a smoker for 30 years and was down to 1 a day until I got confused with this vaping business, I've had 4 analogs today and about to smoke another. I guess I will just smoke until I get this together in 2 weeks when I get paid again lol.

What a lie... one drop of PURE nicotine maybe, but the stuff in juice is heavily diluted. 24mg juice means it has 24mg of nicotine per ml of liquid, I've gotten juice all of my hands, and even in my eye a few times (stings like hell)... pretty sure I'm still alive.

THIS

Most of us when we are new have ended up with juice on our lips or in our mouth. Its not a pleasant taste but we ALL survived it.
