Used cartos for 2 years. Just got reomizer 2 and set it up 5 wraps like Robs video metered at 1.5, airhole and coil properly aligned was unbelieveably easy UNTIL I went to fire it. I've been blind squonking for 2 years on mostly cartos and some 510 atties I use to test my juices absolutely no problem. I go to blind squonk new 2.0 and I'm like sucking an egg through a straw I can't hear the juice go in as I have always done. So I just pushed bottle without sucking and that seemed to work. Next I'm getting snap crackle and pop louder than ever before especially the pop. Got a few hits but don't know what's up. When I push fire button there seems to be a lag before it fires. Help!! Always drip some juice on your wick before firing. Give it a minute or two to soak it in.
You won't hear the juice like in a cartos. It is a good idea to pop the drip tip off and watch the juice as you squonk. You will be able to see how much goes in with a certain amount of pressure and length of time. It took me awhile to get it down. As your bottle empties you will have to adjust also.
Make sure the wick is really soaked good. You should notice the popping die down some.
Using the Reo and making coils just takes a little practice. Before long you won't even be thinking about it. Is your coil lined up at the same height as the airhole? That will make a difference too. What size wire and wick are you using?
The popping has quieted down. When I blind squonk I always sucked very lightly at the same time, boy that doesn't sound good. Are you just suppossed to just press bottle? I pressed bottle while looking in atty, tip removed, and I saw juice go in and kind of out rather quick is that normal. I am pressing bottle harder than I ever did when sucking at same time. Sucking on the atty doesn't work with side airhole. Before you got feedback from the center fed airway.
The cap on your bottle may be too tight. I found loosening mine let the juice stay in the RM2 longer.
You can cover the air hole and enjoy some sucking with resistance! But totally not necessary!
With a full bottle and the lid on just a little past where it is loose you should not have to press the bottle too hard.

hubseven, it's just going to take a little getting used to. You won't hear the gurgle or feel the pressure....but it'll be worth it. Like Karen said, take the tip off and watch the juice come up and cover the coil....then drain back down. You'll get the feel for it really quickly....
EDIT: Also....the lag in firing. If you use 32 gauge wire, it'll heat up a little faster....but to get the same ohms you'd need to do one less wrap, about.

Thanks all. can't believe how easy building first atty was. It is now working like a charm, its all in the squonking. After 2.5 years with the Grand panic set in like a noob, but never to old to learn new tricks. This is one fantastic atty, as advertised. Again, Thanks.
Hub7, what I have adapted to is tilting the REO down slightly towards the air hole then squonking. I press until I see a glimmer of juice thru the airhole. Then release, raise mod to mouth, fire and vape away.

I had an intermittent firing prob once and it drove me crazy. Finally figured out that the screw on the negative post had cut the 32ga so that it wasn't always making good connection inside the post. The screw wasn't perfectly flat where it made contact with the wire so I filed it flat. I switched to 28 or 30ga wire thinking the 32 ga is too fragile and have not had a firing prob since.

Yeah, I quickly moved to 30ga from 32 for posts RBAs for very same resson. Cranking down on screw much less likely to snap wire and the coil holds shape better rewicking. I haven't given 28ga a fair trial as I'm so pleased with 30.
