Hi all, new member here,

I have a 510 e-cig, I haven't cleaned my Atomizer since I bought my e-cig. I wanna know what a quick way to clean it is, not using any chemicals such as alcohol. Can I use water?

Also, when i first used my e-cig, it was a nice, smooth smoke, but now I get a terrible burn sensation in my throat when I exhale. It only happens when my e-cig starts to warm up after a few puffs. The first puff isn't harsh at all.
Is this because I need to clean my Atty? Someone told me it was the type of juice i'm using, but I think it's because I need to clean my Atty.

I read one way to clean my Atty was to put a few drops of hot, hot water in my cart, take a puff without inhaling, and do so until my filter turns a brownish color, then clean out the filter with water and put new juice inside. Is this safe? I really don't wanna burn out my atty or break my e-cig.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I'm not an Atty girl myself, but cleaning isn't totally necessary. Blowing it out should be good. If it seems gunky, you can run it under hot water and blow out several times. Make sure you let it completely dry.
I think the burned taste is your not keeping your filler wet enough. Make sure it looks something like a slushy. You may need to give your Atty a few extra drops also.
To clean your carts remove the filling and rinse under lukewarm water and pat dry. The filling is only meant to be used a few times. You can find the filler on line or at hobby and pet supplies. Good luck

Thanks a lot! I will try that out right now. I wish I had more fillers. I was going to try and make my own filler using cotton balls, been using this filler for too long now and the filler it came with is so small and barley holds anything.

If i clean it with water is there a way I can dry the atty fast? I only have one atty right now and i'm not very patient :s

I wasn't sure if I could put the juice in the atty itself cause i'm afraid i'm going to break my e-cig. Thanks for the tips!

Very Hot water rinse a few times, then take the hair dryer to it, then re-prime it with some PG, when your ready to go a couple of drops of liquid and start hitting the button, should be good to go if there is life left in her
Thanks a lot. I have a juice that has both PG and VG. Not sure if i like it much.. Like beans said I need some new filler for my cart too. :] you guys are quick here. Again, thank youuuu!!

I agree with the prev post that your filler may be getting dry:( The method I use was found in a thread from last week. It involves taking your atty off the batt, put baking soda in the atty, enough to cover the bridge, then put white vinegar in the atty and QUICKLY, cover the top of the atty with a finger/thumb and it will propel the baking soda out the threaded end. I keep adding the white vinegar until there is no reaction. Then I rinse in hot water, blow the atty out with my mouth and let dry overnite. It gets rid of crud and bad flavors:2cool:

I'm going to follow everybody else and think that your filler's drying up.

You may want to search "zero filler mod". That's another way. Or Blue Foam Mod or Tea Bag mod. I can't speak for those as I seem to have found my preferred method.

In the meantime, if you can, follow Beans suggestion on dripping. In your case, it's a bit of a hassle, but here goes: Take the cart off. Drop some juice on the atty (2, maybe 3 drops). Replace the cart. Vape away.

Finally, yes it was the filler causing that harsh burning sensation on my throat. I cleaned out the atty, blow dryed it, and then topped off my filler and added a few drops to the atty. I took a few puffs, felt a slight burn sensation so I took off the cart and as i was pulling the cart off, i saw the filler sticking to the atty. I pulled the filler off the atty and pushed it down further into the cart and took a puff and no burning sensation at all. Ahhh, so nice. Hits like when I first used it :D thanks guys for all the help! Now i need to look up that tea bag filler thing. Also will check out the zero filler mod.

I think after your 5th post (now), plus one hour enables you to have a signature. That being the case, click the banner you like and then it'll take you to the site to program your banner (# cigs, cost, etc).

I believe the point of the polyfill is to be in contact with the atty. Therefore the atty will always wick the juice from the fill.

Somebody else may be able to provide a better suggestion, but I think you need to put more juice in your cart. The filler's drying up too quickly. That or you're just vaping too damn hard.

**I am no expert on this as I'm new to this as well. Just making some assumptions here. If I'm wrong, I apologize.

On the atty cleaning, when I used them, I blew them out real good, then did a slight dry burn (manual battery). As for the filler, I have some blue foam I can throw in an envelope for you. I switched to cartomizers and won't need the foam anymore. PM me your address if you want it. Ps. The blue foam dart worked well for me :)

Atrac, for certain, get yourself a few extra attys. They frequently fail and if that happens, you'd have to "do without" until you could get another. The recommendation is to have at least 2 batteries and 2 atomizers. More is even better. The last thing you want to happen is to be forced to go back to analogs when you're doing so well (and btw, congratulations :) )

is the method I use. You can also check out his simple cart mod linked in his sig. I tried it. It does work, but it's very finicky getting it just right.

I agree with not cleaning your atty unless it really needs it and I would be VERY careful with dry burning if you only have one atty. In fact, I probably wouldn't do it at all without a back up unless it was either that or go back to smoking.
