Just started vaping with a v2cig has a kR808d-1 battery . I thought I did all my homework before purchasing. I really want to try an atomizer and soft drip tip to try new flavors. The Sahara I received with my kit kills my throat. I've got some sample coming of 70/30 mix from another company. What kind of atty and drip tip can I use. Also I noticed a lot of LR carts out but I don't think my battery will handle it. You guys have any suggestions. I was very disappointed with the vape with my manual battery even though I researched myself to death before my purchase.

What kind of vape do you want? Why did you go with the 808? Do you like cartos or atty's (or do you need a little more info)? Alot of info on here and with a little more details we can guide you to what you are looking for.

Sorry for the questions, but it does help everyone guide you.

Welcome!!!! Do not hesitate to ask more questions!

Welcome to ECF! :D

The V2 is actually not that bad of a setup. It's just a little overpriced and has a short charge life.

Because of the small size of the battery, low resistance is out of the question with these, as it could damage the battery. Anything 2.5 ohms or higher is fine.

Go to Vapor Kings for the cartomizers. Use the code VKBC for 10% off.

V2 batteries are not sealed AFAIK, so dripping would not be an option. :(

I agree with all but the above; why would dripping not be an option on a sealed battery? What am I missing here? Should I make more coffee? :D Seriously I would think dripping would only pose a problem if the battery was open to allow liquid in.

I think the op would be fine using a 2.5 - 3.0 Ohm dripping atomizer on these batteries. I believe they were said to be manuals as well, so a sealed adapter should be available to go from a 808D-1 battery to a 510 atomizer if needed. I would recommend the IkenVape atomizers in either io6 or 510 (same threading) with matched drip tips for each IF you can catch them in stock. Otherwise probably the Cisco attys from Avid Vaper Atomizers - Cisco Spec 2.5ohm Standard Resistance Atomizers - Avid Vaper seem to be pretty good from the couple I've tried.

Best of luck & Happy Vaping! :vapor:

I agree with all stated above as well.

I started out with a similar setup. When it wasn't enough I upgraded to an ego with 510 threads (it was cheaper, but what a better vape). It is SUCH a standard for attys and cartos that I tried all with just the standard 650mah ego batteries.

Now that I have done that I am now ready to go with the BIG battery setup and kick this into high gear.

I hope some of this has helped!

VAPE ON! Welcome to ECF!!! :D

So....

First off, welcome to ECF.

Secondly, the 808's are not bad. All super-mini (cig sized) e-cigs will have limitations due to current battery technology. That doesn't make them all bad. Lots of people have switched and stayed off cigs using them for long periods of time.

The atomizers are available for the 808s. Check the V2 sub-forum to double check the threading standard, I'm assuming it's normal 808 threading.

Try around 2.3 ish oms for the atomizer. If the battery is in fact sealed, dripping is fine.

There is a learning curve. Also, the atomizer/carto has to be working properly or you will get harsh hits. Too dry or flooded are both bad.

It may need to be cleaned also. Gunked up atomizers will give you harsh hits too.

Sorry. You're right. I was typing too fast and forgot a word. It happens. I mean, I just went and checked my old V2 set to be sure that they were NOT sealed 30 seconds before typing that.

You can convert an old carto to a drip tube for testing. This way you don't need to buy an atty. here is a video teaching how. It takes about 30 seconds

Bump for this trick... I've done several of these conversions on old 510 cartos while waiting for my 1st atomizers to arrive and was amazed how well they worked (well, the survivors). The old cartos were fairly well shot anyhow... filler material clogged, etc... so I didn't have much to lose. Would have tossed them as soon as my order of cartos came in but as it was I got quite a bit more use from them for dripping. They're not as good as actual quality dripping atomizers mainly because they're not designed to last as long & the wick will already have absorbed some flavor from previous liquids, but I was delighted with the result.
