Thanks everyone!
I think I've decided on the EGO. But I do have a few more questions before I can place my order...
1) Is e-liquid a mixture of the nicotine, water, VG or PG and flavoring?
2) Does a drip tip just attach to the atty or do I need some other piece in there?
3) Is the difference between a cartomizer and a blank cartridge the atty part?
4) Is it easier to drip or refill blank cartridges?
1) VG = vegetable glycerine and is good for vapor - VG is included at whatever ratio you choose.
PG = propylene glycol and is good for throat hits and flavor - PG is included at whatever ratio you choose.
Nicotine is included at the mg strength you choose.
Water is not in the liquid mixture, as far as I know.
Flavoring is included - whichever flavor you choose.
2) Drip tips can attach to the atomizer and to a cartomizer, whichever you choose to use to hold the liquid.
3) A cartomizer has a built-in atomizer and a filler. A cartridge has a filler inside, and the cartridge attaches to the atomizer, which has a bridge, mesh, and a coil that heats up from the battery that produces the vapor that you inhale and exhale.
4) It's easier to fill cartomizers, because they last longer when you're vaping, so you're not having to constantly drip liquid into them.
If you're using an atomizer and a cartridge, you can use a pre-filled cartridge (or you can rinse out the filler inside and drip in your own liquid) or drip directly into the atomizer. The latter is the preferred method, because wicking from the cartridge onto the bridge of the atomizer doesn't always work well, and you still have to drip into the cartridge periodically.
The flavor is better when you directly drip into the atomizer. (Then you can remove the bridge and mesh for even better flavor, but that's a subject for when you become more experienced. So are low-resistance atomizers (a subject for when you become more experienced). Don't worry about some of these things yet, until you learn more about the basics.)
