Just got my SS Stealth today, and for some reason it won't fire up at all using the COV DC 1.5 atty I have in it. I'm using an AW IMR 18350 and nothing. I tried the same bottom section and battery with my GGTS/UFS top, and it works fine. I've even tried switching the traditional bottom cap spring setup for the fuse setup and nothing. No sound, no heat, nothing. Am I doing something wrong?

Screwed down tight enough that I CAN'T unscrew it without a wrench.

Hope you vaselined all the threads. On another note - The Odysseus IMO is Imeos finest invention so far trumped only by the GGTS. Nothing around finer than a GGTS IMO. If you have never done a rebuildable before it can be difficult at first. I say persevere and once you get it right you will be thankful you kept it.

Thats happened to me with so many atties its crazy. Have a stiff pin in my drawer specifically for pulling connector pins down.

I'd also say give the Ody some more time. Try a couple more builds. It can be frustrating at first, but it is SO worth it once you get it down.

Is there a specific issue you're having with the Ody? Perhaps one of us could help. I'm still learning myself, just had a major realization tonight that totally improved things for me - and it was my 9th build. heh Still building my list of tips/tricks

Yes, I have gotten many I had to adjust too. Not awful lot, but some.

Resurrectors seem to be the most, but a few boges too. I use cartos and not that many atties.

Experienced storm users know that tightening tele too much can push atty or carto connector in too far from excessive pressure of sliding connector pin on storm, but new users might learn the hard way?

Same for stealth since it's connector pin does not move, since both post and insulator are threaded and combo is stationary. Pushing the connector post in atty or carto up too much can sometimes ruin it.

Honestly, my feelings about Ody are thus:

It is complicated. I personally don't want to turn vaping into a hobby. I want it to be enjoyable, and I want to quit analogs, but I don't want to hafta pick up a new, expensive hobby to do it. Thus far I have SSGGTS 434, a UFS, and TMFSSS 1978. I took the time to learn the UFS because I WANT an EDC PV that I can rely on anywhere and everywhere. In the process of learning the UFS, I realized that I would need a backup PV, and that I might also want to be able to drip new or different juices without having to disassemble the GGTS. So, now I have the blasted SSGGTS, and SSS1978 and my needs are covered.

What does Ody do for me? It is certainly attractive and very versatile, but it also has what I consider a steep learning curve, and I'm not really convinced it's worth it to me to invest the time for the sake of being able to rebuild my atty. I already have a tank system with the UFS, and if I go through 2 attys a month, the. That's only $120-240 a year. And it's plug and play.

Please feel free to discourse on this with me.

I agree! Sell or trade me for your Ody!

I'mGatMan - I spent two weeks trying to figure out my UFS and ended up selling it in frustration (you, however, seem to have figured it out). I had the Ody up and running in less than 10 minutes out of the box. I think you would have no problems at all. :)

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Honestly, it's more a question of need right now. I don't have the money to pour into mod after mod, and to have two set up with tank systems seems somewhat superfluous.

I am going to sleep on it a bit.

If anyone would like to expound on the pros of the Ody, please do.

Thanks all.

Gat, the Ody is a masterpiece. Rebuildables are a challenge at first like all great things but as you progress with vaping, you will appreciate it more. I am tasting flavors that I never tasted before. All of the sudden, juices I hated are coming alive. After a solid week of the Ody, last night I got lazy and threw on a DC tank which was my standard issue for 6 months. Same juice and cartos I used for 6 months and it tasted so bland I could never go back to that.

And that. It seems like the Ody was easier for me than the UFS too. I like both but the Ody seemed easier to get up and running, and stay that way.
