So im building a simple single coil at 1.0 ohms 9 wrap with 24 guage kenthal on my igow and useing 100 percent organic cotton on my sential clone. BUT EVERY juice I TRY TASTE HORRIBLE. I could be that the taste is mute or not even close to whats it supposed to taste or It just taste burnt over all. I am so confused I have no idea what to do. I even cleaned every individual part and rebuilt about 6 times. And new cotton everytime. And the same results. I know its me because I tried the same flavors on my friend mod and they have amazing taste. Im just so confused. It has got to the point I just want to give up all together someone please help

just some suggestions:
1. did you try boiling the cotton, I heard some "organic" cotton needs to be boiled, dried out, etc..if it's Santa Ana, CA..weather is warm enough to dry it quick
2. Did you torch the Kanthal?...
3. how big are the air holes on your IGO-W cap?
4. you sure you don't get hot spot?..upload pic of your build..so the pros can chime in.the coil needs to heat from inside out..

Burnt taste can come from dry cotton + hot coil = OMG what did I just do; or you may just have a funky section on your coil that gets hot without juice flowing to it, the tastes are quite different. Both suck though.

A picture of your build would help greatly. Mainly we need to see how much cotton you have used and exactly how your coil looks (lots of pictures are always good).

Lots of questions here. I assume you made it microcoil style? Nine wraps with 24 gauge is a large diameter coil. You might try a few things. First off....24 gauge takes a little while to heat up at 1 ohm. Try 26 gauge. Also....reduce the diameter of the coil to 2mm or 5/64. Make sure your cotton is not shoved into the coil too tightly. Also not so loose it doesnt have any resistance as you slide it back and forth. Also, I hope you aren't blocking the coil with cotton.....

I don't have a meter but I have measured it before and using the same amount of wraps

The meter is not just telling you the ohms, it can also tell you if you have a bad short (you expect 9 wraps to be 1 ohm but if you test the coil with a meter and it reads out to 0.20 ohms you know you have an issue).

Do you have a ruler or something? It looks like it's a 3mm ID coil, that's really huge.
