Hey all started making my own juice a couple of months back started with flavourart flavourings. Major disasters all round every juice was overpowered and even at 1% I didn't rate the individual flavourings. Moved on to capella flavours this time I produced some good juice bur the more it steeped the worse it got(nightmare)

So I'm hoping you can tell me who has the best flavours Tfa, cap, fa, tpa??? Any others??

Also I've been mixing maybe two or three flavours at a time but after looking at recipes I think this maybe too basic.

Any help would be appreciated that silver lining is getting further away

Hi Matt. I don't know if you're following a recipe or just experimenting with the flavors. FA flavors are very concentrated. They will mix at less percentages than tfa, Capellas, and Flavor West.

I'd recommend trying some recipes using a juice calculator. Reading is the best advice I can give. Check these links:

If you find a recipe you like it's not a guarantee it will be a good one. I would suggest mixing small batches (10 ml or less) to test a recipe first. Also note that if it calls for a certain flavor manufacturer you CANNOT substitute another to achieve the recipe. There are exceptions but you're going to have to learn by mixing what works or doesn't. FA is the most difficult to swap out because it is so concentrated. (most of them from FA, not all).

I've been reading through the links you sent just now it would appear that flavourart was maybe not the best supplier to start with. I have tried mixing other people's recipes and learned the hard way it doesn't work.

I swapped cap strawberry for FA at 10% was nearly sick

Flavort Art is amazing stuff but as said very potent 1-5%. My two personal favorites are tfa and FA but I am branching out a little.

e-Liquid Calculator:: New recipe
This is the ejuice calculator I prefer. Make an account and put all your flavors into it. You can savor recipes and search other peoples recipes based off what you have. Additionally you can look at other peoples notes on a flavored.

Try not to charge in with a new mix. Put 5ml of base in a bottle and add 1 drop at a time, increasing until you reach a happy point. You can test it on an RDA with no wicking which gives you a short burst of flavour to help assess where you are. Remember recipes are a guide, everyones taste buds are different.

What do you mean just drip it on a coil with no wick as I go sort of thing? I was looking for away to test as I mix but couldn't come up with one that was efficient enough.

That's actually a good idea even for somebody who doesn't DIY, but is feeling lazy and just wants to try out a new juice for the first time. Thanks, Sonic.

Yes. You can then vaporize the juice 1/2 drops at a time without saturating a wick. Once you have tasted the new mix, you can then dry burn off the remainder for subsequent testings.
