Yeah, probably the center post. Use a toothpick and just run it around the center post until it releases. A fairly common occurrence, and an easy fix, after the fright resides. Good luck. If that doesn't work, report back and we can get this fixed. Has to be a connection problem.
First Thing to do. Take the Battery/batteries out of your Vamo.
Now you need to Raise the Center Post. Some poke the side of the Center Pin with a Stiff Pin or Needle and try to pry it Up Slightly. Might need to do it at 12, 3, 6 and 9 O'clock
Other people use Tweeters and Gently Up straight up on it.
Either way, you don't need to Lift it Much. So Go Slow.
That should be the problem next time before screwing rsst on vamo make sure the rsst connector pin is not protruding to far out. Unscrew positive post to adjust the pin it just needs to touch. Mine sits flush on vamo and Svd
IT WORKED!!!!! Thank you all so much for your help and input. I was really scared that I totally ....ed up my new (and first) APV. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
This also happened to my Vamo and I raised the center pin also, but it eventually stopped reading attachments again, it wasn't until I went to home depot and replaced the O ring that it became a (hopefully) perm fix. So just be careful with the screwing for now but just remember if it goes out again to look at replacing that O-ring.

Before you Screw Anything onto a PV, take a Quick Look to Make Sure the Center of the Atty or Clearo or rba isn't Sticking Out much more than the Threads.
And NEVER screw anything down Tight. Just Firm. Never Tight.
Geez, I'm glad I stumbled across this thread since my RSST should be arriving in the mail tomorrow. Now I know to check the center pin before jamming that sucker on my Vamo in excitement.
