So I have had my vamo v3 for about 8 months now and I have really liked it until now. The threads are completely stripped. Not my protank or iclear or nova nothing works on it now. Can this be fixed? Is it even worth fixing? Anyone else had this problem?

That's a common problem I hear about.

I use protanks, but I use them on miniprotank bases so I don't get that problem.

An APV made with quality hardware is one way to avoid this issue. The Sigelei Zmax V2, V3 and V5 have featured 510/eGo threading that is machined from a single chunk of stainless steel since last fall. Here is what it looks like with the top cap removed.

I'd like to ditto that; my zmax feels solid and hasn't failed; i don't use it much anymore because of the 1 button interface, but I did end up having to use it for a week or two when my vamo failed because of centerpin issues till I opened it up and fixed it myself.

Sorry about your Vamo. If you can't fix it, don't throw it away. The circuit board can be used to build a vv/vw box mod. The battery tube makes a good battery compartment for an e-pipe. Lots of videos on YouTube.

Agreed, there's some good parts in there still. It would be a shame to just toss it. There's a modding forum here with ton's of useful tips. Or pass it on to someone that could do something good with it. Sorry for your loss though. Look at it as a reason to get that upgrade you've been looking at. :)

No threads no good. Try not tightening it down as tight with your next one. You just need it tight enough to make contact. If its loosing connection when you just barely snug it up you more than likely just need to swab the threads with a little rubbing alcohol. Clean the one on your tanks or what ever your using as well. You might take it to someone that knows how to solder and have it replaced.
