Help!!! Vaping in Dubai

Hi

I am going to Dubai for a 2 month business trip and I am so scared if I can't vape I will start smoking again.

I have a cool fire IV 4, can I take off the tank and put it in my checked luggage do you think? I want to take ejuice with me too

I am happy just vaping in the apartment but I will work in a free zone so will see if others vape there.

I am freaking out a bit as I hate smoking now but don't know what I would do if I couldn't vape!!

No idea on importation rules there. In general you can only pack a mod in your checked luggage if it does not contain a battery, such as a replaceable 18650 in the CF4 18650 which can be removed. If you have a CF with a built in battery it must go in your carry on bag. Any batteries you bring must also be in your carry on bag only, either in silicone sleeves or plastic battery boxes. You can place juice in your checked bag. Just double bag to make sure your clothes don't get soaked if the altitude change causes the bottle(s) to leak. What happens when you land in Dubai is something you'll have to check with as far as their customs policies.

I am sooo confused. I don't want to be pulled over at security I will have a panic attack, but I also don't want to go back to smoking!!

I hear ya and don't blame you. Any place you can call? I don't travel so have no idea. Hope it all works out for you.

That was in the airport. I wouldn't go walking around in public with my mod.

Of course you wouldn't catch me dead in Dubai either way......no job is worth that....none.

I don't want to go enough as it is haha!! I just want to get it through the airport where I will keep it in my apartment and only vape in private! If I don't see people vaping in a free zone I won't be either haha. My friend mentioned just putting it in my pocket when I land as apparently they don't scan you... but I've heard such mixed reviews in regards to if it's illegal or not!

I don't know about Dubai, but when I travelled recently I put a box of coils (in the retail box they came in) with two mods (internal battery iSticks) and two tanks (Nautilus, unattached, and empty of course) in a small bag on top of everything else in my carry-on, and liquid (in unopened retail bottles) in my quart plastic bag for shampoos, etc.

Nobody cared in four different countries ... but of course, I can't say about Dubai. A lot of places that don't allow vape sales, etc., still allow visitors to have personal vaping materials. Carry-on is better than checked anywhere, I think.

Thank you!! It's still conflicting but exactly what my friend said, he told me to take it in my pocket as they won't scan me... I might take it all apart and have my tank, coils etc in checked baggage and just have the base bit of my vapor in my pocket, as long as I don't look too shifty!!!

The worst they can do is confiscate it at customs (well, hopefully that's the worst). I assume you're traveling on a work visa, and staying in a free zone. There's a good possibility they won't pay much attention to you as long as you're not calling attention to the stuff in your possession. Of course should you flat out asked "what is this", I'd go with the truth and not try to snow them. That can only lead to a miserable first impression arrival.

If nothing else, if your stuff is seized at customs, just order some more from the vendor above. I guess... maybe.

I separate stuff. I had a Listerine bottle, too. One airline says one thing, another says something else. I don't believe in breaking the law, but some just don't know it. I have traveled a lot in small groups and things happen when the bags go through the conveyor belt curtain.

If you get the Embassy DAO's APO address, you can have things mailed there. Just let the DAO know a day or two beforehand that something is arriving. Or use DHL, or your organization there.

Do what is legal, but know your options.
