Help w/ Mod and RDA

Hey, everyone,

I just got my UDT-V17 Oak Leaf in the mail, but the stock rda that comes with it had a sticky screw and so one of the negative posts is unusable. First off, I was wondering if I could still use it without it blowing up in my face...

Secondly, I'm looking around for another rda (interested in the IGO W-Plus and a fancy IGO W stainless steel), buuut the rda that came with my Viggo doesn't fit on my Oak Leaf. I was wondering if this is going to be a problem with shopping for RDA's (it not fitting), and what I can do to prevent this...

Currently shopping on vaporbeast.com since they're nice and called me in a semi-fraud protection kinda manner, if you're interested.

Hey mate! I found this on page 12, so you really slipped through the cracks. I'm vaguely familiar with that mod, so a few notes:

1. You said your Viggo didn't fit, but it should have included a 510 top-cap that should work with normal 510 atomizers? Is there any chance you forgot that and were trying to use it as a hybrid? If so, be really careful about what atomizer goes on it or your battery could short (positive pin needs to be longer, or adjustable).

2. If it's one of the side screws that's stuck, you can still use the RDA as a single-coil device. If it's the center positive pin, no.

3. Here's a few tricks for that stuck screw. Take a pair of needle-nose pliers and wrap the ends with a bit of electrical tape for grip without gouging the metal. You can put it in the freezer for a few hours (or longer) to help the metal contract. Some have had success by heating their post with a torch.

4. The Igo-W is a really well-made RDA, but it's airholes are very, very small which means it has a really tight draw. The majority of the people who use it admire it but wish the airholes were larger. My go-to right now is the tugboat/steamboat over at 101vape. Good for single or dual coils, great to build on, good balance of flavor/vapor -- and just works.
