Sorry to hear about all that .........

At some point (it maybe too soon for you) you really need to have 1 more cig .......

It only took a couple months for me and then 1 more which made me sick .... literally sick .... they are terrible.

Thats when I knew I had made it ..... I hear people say if for some reason they can't vape they would have to go back to cigs ..
I could not, and I'm not sure how anyone could.

So it may sound like bad advice but maybe try one .... it might just make you never want another one again.

Most importantly don't give up even if you give in a time or two .... And good luck, we are all right there with ya!

Yep, whenever I have too much to drink I have a few puffs from someone.. They suck. It tastes so horrible. But, one has to learn this for ones self. And you are correct sir.. That's how you know you made it.

How do you use the WTA? In lieu of juice, or add to it?

And thanks to all for your support. There isn't another forum around that I would share such personal details with. But I knew that once I arrived in Reoville that there were a special breed of people here.

You can use WTA either way. Aroma has premixed WTA liquids (Whole Tobacco Alkaloid WTA Eliquid Ejuice) and WholeCig has both, but is out of stock on menthol. ( I think I saw along the way that is your preference? - WTA e-Liquid

I hope it helps :) It sure helped my SO regain his "stability" and helped me tremendously with anxiety and cravings. (Especially since you dont want to go up on nic, maybe this is a worthy tool for the stash :) )

I second getting out in the sunshine... for me sunshine is a MUST, long winter months can be my undoing!! Stay busy when you feel those urges, doing something different than the norm. and fiddle with new builds or whatever. Take up a hobby. Read a book. For me the hardest thing was the simple act of grabbing my lighter... it took me months to get past that but I did and you will too. Remember why you are doing it when that urge hits and think of how precious he is to you... I believe in you... you will get through this and on the other side you'll KNOW you've got it beat! that thing no longer owns you!! Also this may sound silly to you but in the beginning whenever I wanted 1 I looked at my ticker and thought you know if I smoke I have to start all over again!! You've come too far to give up now!! So if you don't have a ticker, get 1, it was very important that 1st 6 months - 1 year. more than anything, no matter what... YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!

Edited: just saw that you do have a ticker... now look at it, see that 109 days? Dude a year ago would you have imagined that you could say you've been 109 days without that monkey on your back? Pretty BA huh?

lot's of good suggestions have been said, keep hanging in there, YOU CAN DO IT!
For me, the only thing that helped, and still almost a year in helps, is vape more. I vape constantly. I vape more than i breathe fresh air lol i vape until my heart races and then vape some more. and then vape more. keep on vapin' and fighting the urge!! and keep coming here for the awesome support you're getting :)

Earth for now.
I think you have received some absolutely fantastic advise above. I agree with upping your nic level, this is what finally broke a thirty + year habit for me. Have not had those cravings since I upped it and have not had a smoke either. I also agree that you have a fantastic motivator working for you, keeping your son will make you do things that you would never sign up for. Hopefully you will use that in conjunction with the fantastic advise you received along with the support of these fine folks in REOville to get passed these cravings. I wish you all the best and hope you can get out with your boy to enjoy some fresh air, sunshine, rain and most of all life with a loved one.

took me almost 2 years of dual-use to finally kick the cigs- now 13 months from my quit date, and these things still happen. thankfully the smell of a burning cig makes my stomach turn- and I've recently found awesome in Nicoticket's Radioactive- NET and WTA and no thoughts of nasty butts!

this too, shall pass... thank you for sharing- I think at some point, we've all been where you are now- and honestly, even if you give in, don't feel guilty, it's not a fail.. you may take one drag, be reminded of why you quit, put it out and chain vape that Reo!

ETA: and exercise!! that is one of the best advices I've seen running in this thread. a good walk with your boy after school, yard work, etc.. when it gets real bad, I take the dog for an extra-long jaunt around the neighborhood.

there are more to cigs that keep us addicted.. some companies add MAOIs, which can act as an anti-depressant for most.. and when we quit, a deep feeling of depression can sink in, especially for those of us that are prone to it already.

I feel for you, absolutely. I think there may be a wall about about 3 or so months as I seem to be up against it myself. Having a really hard/bad time especially this morning. Went to my "panic" juice this morning, higher nic Halo juice that for some reason gives me a bit more of the cig buzz, and have been grinding through it but now how you are feeling.

Hang in there, let's tough this out together!

I love to walk in the rain. Got a nice oil cloth duster that's perfect for it. Hard for me to walk though as I have other problems as well. But I bet my son would love it! I'll grab the cane and give it a try :)

I agree with Laurin and Karen...it doesn't need to be a long walk...just 10 minutes. Keep it simple and don't put yourself in a position where you feel under pressure. Actually kind of like what Laurin said...I'd go outside with my bare feet and "grow roots." Standing (or sitting) in the grass, I'd close my eyes and wiggle my toes in the grass and imagine I was growing roots. I'd listen to the birds and let the breeze wash over me as if I were a tree or grasses swaying in the wind.

My husband and I have always used nicotine as a self medicating thing. We both suffer from a few things that can make things difficult to work through. The bright side is that using the vapor, keeps you from that stupid self sustaining rut caused by the other drugs in cigs. It's been over 4 years for him and over 3.5 years for me since we smoked. It gets easier with time.

Take it one step at a time, and remember to celebrate what you haven't smoked. We're all pulling for ya. :)

Ya, I did that 4 months after I quit...one drag...and I nearly vomited. That really killed the craving for me. Haven't craved one since....even when I was dreaming that I was smoking, I was repulsed.

Yes , I vape like a motherfocker too. I'm always vaping it seems like. I recently started vaping in my office while I work and it has been granted a vape friendly zone by my wife.

But when I started and for about the first year I vaped in the same places I always smoked - never indoors. I haven had a cig since one month before I started vaping.

If I smoked as much as I vape now I'd prolly be sick and dying.

Making YouTube videos, messing with coils, dipping in here on ECF and getting out / keeping busy are all things that helped me in addition to my family duties :)

Reading some great books is another favorite for me.

That and watching killer agro sports like supercross / motocross / Formula one / Hockey. If I had to watch nascar / baseball / football / basketball id prolly be institutionalized cause their too damn boring. I need stuff that engrossed my hyper brain and body :)

You bet! Anybody in this thread, that ever needs help and wants to PM me is welcome to. I just got some sleep, the first in a while and I feel a touch better. I've had one peanut butter sandwich to eat in 4 days. Got to make myself eat. That'll help too. And am going to get on the phone and get some h1n1 and wta, or try.

You need anything, bigflyrodder, just ask. I'm here for you all as well!

I understand much of what you say. Buddhism, loosely, is my philosophy. And I try to stay grounded in the moment, tomorrow is nothing but a memory that has not passed. I'd sit in the grass and let the world envelope me, it's just too cold and the ground too wet right now in NH.

And sometimes, one just needs catharsis. Let it flow out, don't keep it in. I've been through this many times before, just not without cigarettes. So, now, time to learn some new tricks....

Hahaha, yes...there are times when you just need to hug it and make friends with it for a while. Everything is temporary...this too, shall pass. :) Keep us posted! Sharing what you learn that works for you may just help someone else going through what you are, but aren't posting about it. ;)

You are not alone in your battle. I had to use WTA juice early on. I kept a mod loaded with it and ONLY vaped it when the bad cravings hit, I very slowly weaned myself off of the WTA and found other ways to deal with things in a much healthier manner. You would be surprised what a little bit of sunshine or a walk, would do for a person :)

That right there is an excellent suggestion! In my first year of vaping..yes, i said year..... I went into cig-panics many times.. I wasn't getting enough nic, the ecigs were tasting funky... I just was craving a real cig...I'd run to a friend, who also vaped, then I felt safe as I wouldn't go buy a pack of cigs..this was before I found Reoville.

I'd also suggest asking for some phone nos. from the great people here. i, too, suffer from periodic depression...as a matter of fact, I've been in a mild one for weeks now...but I just come on in here, "chit chat and listen" to everyone and I feel ever so much better.

Hang in there, you WILL get through it...and hang out here as much as you need or want to.

If you do pick up a cig or two , don't beat yourself up about it!!!!!!! Just pick yourself up and get back tvaping.

I don't want you to go back to analogs. That being said if you do keep vaping anyway. I've found that it's not about the analogs you smoke it's about the ones you don't smoke. I've also noticed that most people who vape and try an analog can't stand it. Black6 my brother I'll be rooting for you like a pig.

And if yer not careful we'll get a batch of dem Reonuts to get together and drive, fly, hop and hitchhike up to Concord and have one of dem dar interventions right smack dab in the middle of yer domicile. I gotta bolieve thats not sumpin you want happening enny time soon.

Yer forewarned.

I got me one of those waxed full length duster coats too. When I wear it I feel like Clint Eastwood in HIgh Plains Drifter. Especially so if I havent seen a razor in 5 days.

Thanks for making me laugh! My hat's made of the same material, black biker boots. (Was a big time biker before my son..) With the beard, duster and all people give me a wide berth :) I'm really a nice guy but I have to admit I like people to keep their distance. Until I get to know them and decide if they can take me as I am. If they can, they're probably good people...
